Tending A Wild Garden: More Edible Plants In Your Foraging Spots

VLOG Summer 2024 | Don't just take from the land, help those wild edible plants grow! As foragers we have the opportunity to shape our local wild food landscape. This is called wild tending and our ancestors have done it since the dawn of time. As a edible plant forager you are one of the few people who has built a relationship with the species that nourish us. So it is important that we ensure that these species are around for generations to come. We started to wild tend a few years ago, but are taking it more serious than ever now. Our goal is to help wild plants grow and thrive so that we can harvest sustainably. In this video, we wild tend for some new edible plants that can be found in the Rocky Mountains including biscuit root, glacier lily, and more.
