Definitely a bonus that you'll have it all on there before the maiden ride! Also...probably a good idea to be safe and wait on x-rays, imagine if you rebroke any partial healing....that would cause even longer of a wait.

The fender needs its own raditor guard, dropped down at the point of the fenders connection, square in shape with holes, but most importantly a filter you place in it that you switch out on every dirty ride which allows air through, catches dirt and doesn't get in the way of the steering as it moves with the forks though a bit wider than the forks.

I have the exact lift. I recently bought a different lift from harbor freight that is a bigger more stable platform you can raise while standing up. It also has tie downs to stabilize the bike. I paid $100 for it. Really stable.

I disagree with your assessment of the new fender..... your radiator and front of the engine will be caked with mud and the cooling ability will be gone... the original fender would cure that problem all you had to do is find a way to tuck the lines in so they couldn't snag anything... but sense you have the new fender on.... how about putting a piece of the dirt bike fender onto the back of the new fender so the radiator is protected ? use pop rivets to attach it to the plastic fender or small bolts but use about 6 evenly spaced attachments... and you should probably have fender washers under the bolts holding the fender on.... my experience with plastic fenders is a bad one they break easily and do not hold up over a long time and need to be replaced...... sorry to hear of your accident on the KLR.... it does look like the rear swingarm is bent or the bolt is sheared or bent that holds it.... I am very glad you weren't hurt any more than you were.... and yes it makes you a little nirvice getting back on once you have been hurt on a bike..... but it only lasts for a few weeks ....trust me ! LOL.... street riding is dangerous... the competition out weighs you alot.... but to survive you have to drive defensively... anticipate that idiot that isn't going to stop...... been there done that several times ! always spouting the normal refrain...." I didn't see you!" .... it's complacency in driving ! you look then pull out and find you pulled out infront of someone..... look and see but it doesn't register.... that there was a car coming..... this just happened to me here recently.... luckily after i hit the gas to pull out, i then hit the breaks and re looked..... and there was a big pickup going 65mph that I almost pulled out in front of..... it would have killed us..... why did that happen ? I have been driving for half a century, I know better !..... but when you get complacent you over look things..... and that one over looking of things almost cost us our lives..... so don't do what I did... on a bike it's worse... you will be hurt ... in a car your chances are better , but not guaranteed... Humans make mistakes.... it happens ! no one is perfect.... but make a mistake in a car or on a bike .... that really hurts..... so don't do that ! LOL..... Bob.......
@SwankyCatProductions

I know exactly what you mean about being a little too comfortable while driving or riding. It's hard to stay vigilant at all times, especially on the back roads. After lots of miles you can get sort of lulled into a state of easy which isn't good, especially on a bike. The guy who hit me was blindly cutting across my lane in a hurry and didn't see me since there was a can just ahead of me in the left lane. Not really sure what he was thinking but I suppose he just wasn't. As for the fender, I'm not sure if it'll be a big issue or not. I anticipate having to wash out the radiator once in a while but so far it hasn't been bad. I think grafting a new back on is a good idea, but I don't really like the front to begin with ha ha. I think I might try the other YZ fender I have sometime.
