I live here and I totally avoid the area now from Los Cristianos to Fanabe - there are much nicer beaches up the other end of Tenerife and you never see any street sellers (or pissed up tourists), its cheaper too and the locals are friendly. I got scammed like this when I first went to Gambia. Came home with many bracelets I didn't want.

@@mies222 Try Aqualand - Siam Park is the best, but may not be suitable for a 7 year old, depending on height and if he likes fast rides. Aquaplaned is for the younger ones.
