I think you're overthinking it. While Sator may be doing TENET's work by bringing the algorithm together, I certainly dont think he's doing it wittingly. He's being tricked into doing it. Sator *is* a madman, who thinks he's very clever with his temporal pincers. Unfortunately for him, TENET is simply better at it than he is. Priya earnestly thinks she's tying up loose ends, killing Kat because she knows too much. She certainly never expected the Founder of TENET to come to stop her personally.

And who said it? Priyah obviously. Coincidence to hide your footstep by wildly misleading people on a wild goose chase? I think not. Why did she know so much about inverting objects. And kept feeding the good and the bad guys information and any other form of aid they wanted. Plus she cared about max, before even meeting him.

Sorry, but it wasn't Ives who said the whole thing was a temporal pencer movement, it was Neil. Neil then told john david that he was the one who had set in motion this temporal pencer movement, from the future. John david is the founder of Tenet. He recruited Neil, and sent him back in time as part of the temporal pencer movement. John david explains to her at the end that they have both been working for him, not present him, but future him.

@@NecromancerBoy632 considering how familiar Neil is with the technology surrounding Tenet and the fact that he has is friends with Ives, i think the protagonist recruited Neil in the Future and Neil has been working his way back to the time we see in the film.

Thats a good question...never thought about it. But what could have been Priyas intentions to kill kat? Or did she wanted to kill max or max and kat? It could make sense, if whe wanted to kill kat and take max or to kill max (with or without his mother), if max is neil, then she would have stopped the operation by killing neil as a child (max)

Priya held the belief that anyone who knew about Tenet had to die to tie off any loose ends to ensure the pieces of the algorithm were safely hidden. The protagonist accidentally involves Kat, thus getting her caught up in it, Priya wanted her loose end taken care of, but didn’t want to kill Max, hence her telling her goon, “do it after the boy leaves.”

@@chirag7x681 You only wear the mask while you are literally inverted. In her case, she was inverted for a while until she reached that point in time (vacation in vietnam) but then she had to re-invert once again so she can go forward in time (except, now she is basically a future-version of herself living forwards in a past moment of time. She is literally coexisting with the actual vietnam-vacation version on herself and jumps off the boat before that past version of herself actually sees that it is herself from the future.) Crazy shit, even when you try to explain in detail.

2:26 There's a lot of theories that the pill at the beginning wasn't fake. It actually did kill The Protag, but then Tenet came and inverted his body, thereby causing him to come back to life, similar to the way they healed Kat. Your theory is very good though. I don't think the protag kills himself straight away though. He is to full of duty and has been told that it's his operation so he wouldn't do it. But Priya could be the scientist, and the reason for the test being having somebody die for a cause is very good.

How does Priya know so much about the algorithm and something that a scientist does generations in the future? How did priya come to have this knowledge and information?

Why does Priya want Kat to be killed? And why does she have to be there when it happens? This video is the only one that I have seen that proposes that priya is the inventor of the algorithm. It kind of makes sense when you consider the questions I have asked above which have not been answered anywhere else. Will be interesting to see if this theory is taken up generally. Although most theorists seem to think the girl in the lab is the most likely candidate.

@@WWlogics no, thats not his point. KDPowers is restating a theory that the scientist in the beginning, (who knows the Tenet sign) , is the scientist that discovers the algorithm in the future. That scientist (that discovers the algorithm) wouldn't necessarily know about Tenet, or Sator (although they could - that wouldnt be required to discover the algorithm )

You make a good point, it was something i'd missed when I made this video. John is the name of the actor that plays the protagonist. I'd got into the habit of calling him john, because it's easier, but he's only referred to as the protagonist in the film. Probably should have made that clearer

They only need masks when time is inverted. When time is reverted back in the past they don’t need a mask... when time is inverted they would either wear a mask or be inside a tent sort of things instead of masks. having said that there a one scene when Kat is shot, she wears a mask but not sator

@@unstopable007 Kat wears a mask in that room because it's a room designed to be the turnstile's exit, so it's full of inverted air. Kat isn't inverted in that scene, so she needs a mask.
