indeed as Ivy said- UTAU just uses a manipulator to scroll the pitches down or up, while Vocaloid patchs in Autotunes into their samples that produce a raspy voice by default. alot of Vocaloids you can hear their synthesizer.

If there a different i guess its that in the cosplay you dress more like a anime character and for the crossdressing its more in the reall life. But yeah its the same. cause there again if you are a boy and you dress like a girl from a anime then yeah its the same crossdressing and cosplay are the same.
