Oh wow that's so cool as I've always thought that Tengu's where made up Foot Soldiers for the Big Bad Guys in the Original Power Rangers Movie and Season 3 of the Original Power Rangers Show. Come to think of it the Robot Foot Soldiers for the Big Bad Guys team for the show Captain Power And The Soldiers Shows where also designed to look like Tengu's but only of course Robot Versions. And in both cases they where both inspired by the Tengu Bird Demons of Real World Myth

That makes sense since power ranger was derived from super sentai which also from Japan

Why are a majority of japanese mythical monsters relate to Chinese origin?!
@MythicalArcana
@MythicalArcana 3 ай бұрын
Older stories such as the tale about izanagi and izanami are regarded as purely Shinto/Japanese, while many of the later myths and folklore blended with outside influence from China, Buddhism, Taoism and Hinduism over the centuries. That being said, there are still plenty of monsters that are purely of japanese origin!

This happened in Mesopotamia as well. Demons became gods and usurped the original female mother deities that originally were worshipped.

A demon and a god are the two sides of a coin in Japan. It depends on human's POV.
