Yeah it definitely would have been cool on the ball, but the pebble-y texture would have ruined the amount of detail I was able to get in all those small surfaces. Plus since I only had 7 days I didn't have much time to experiment. Typically I would have done both paintings and seen which one I liked better.

"Absolutely a nightmare"?!!! WHAT????!!! I CANNOT see the struggles as everything's PERFECT!!! The best thing about this piece is that usually hyperrealistic artworks are just boring hand-painted photo. BUT this piece is filled with creativity yet so much hyperrealism.
