When you NEED the weather to brag about a win. A bad Georgia team beat a healthier TN in warmer weather. Georgia beats TN every year by A LOT without the weather. It just starts to look soft, needing bad weather to brag about beating a team. SEC teams have been beating B1g teams for years, post-season on neutral fields in neutral dome "weather" for years. I'm not a fan of the sec conference, but this weather thing is stupid. Playoffs have always been weather neutral.

Everyone keeps talking about “deserved”. That’s irrelevant. The question is “EARNED”. Every team in the playoffs earned the right to be there. Second, it’s not WWE wrestling. We’re not trying to create the two best matchups. We’re trying to determine the BEST TEAM and that happens through playing games. Do these people understand how seeding works? They’d be the only nutjobs in the NCAA bb tournament screaming about the 16 seed loosing to the 1 seed. We play a season. There’s requirements for the post season. You either earn a spot or you don’t. The better teams play the lesser teams. Typically the better teams win, but not always. A champion emerges. It seems to me a lot of people don’t actually like college football. They want manufactured outcomes that favor their favorite team. They don’t think Boise State who was a JUCO and fought the major conferences for 30 years to get in but they wouldn’t let them because of academics, they don’t think they deserve a chance to prove it on the field. I don’t find any “passion” in deciding the fate of a team like Boise State without even playing them AND GUESS WHAT? Boise State tries to schedule them and they won’t play them. Why don’t the SEC schools schedule Boise when they ask? Because they’re afraid they’ll ruin their season. I’m not even a Boise State fan I just love that a school like that finally has an opportunity to play on the field and put it all out there, win or lose, instead of everybody in the nation telling them who they

It is funny. Indiana and SMU lose and everyone trashes them. Tennessee and Clemson lose and it is the playoff format and expanded playoffs. How about home field is a huge advantage in a playoff setting. Blowouts happen because one team usually makes mistakes early and gets behind and has to scrap the game plan. @@aust5353 Its the formats the commissioners agreed upon man. Nobody thinks it perfect. But it wasn't done to favor any one conference this year. It's the way the bracket/seeds ended up is all. Crying about SEC love when the BIG10 looks to have more (3) contenders than the SEC (2) is silly. I agree ESPN has a Bama bias and favors the SEC. Reece Davis went to Bama. McElroy played at Bama. Saban coached at Bama. Makes me sick as a UGA fan. FOX and Joel Klatt are the biggest BIG10 homers in the world. Its also sickening. Money talks. That's who pays their bills. You still have to perform on the field- OSU did.

33 and 44 for OSU haven't whipped a set of tackles that badly in their 4 year careers. UT was cold and soft on the OL. Knowles tried to tell everyone his defense was made to shut down this gimick Big12 stuff - he also has kept Penn State's Big12 OC out of the end zone twice and no other coach has ever done it once.

I don't think he's talking about the new playoff system. I think he's talking about the transfer portal and NIL, which will now include junior college. If that's the case, he's right. He's just seeing the same writing on the wall that Nick Saban saw. There are no teams now, just brand names and a mix of athletic mercenaries, who are just after money, and switch teams after a year. College football will go the way of professional football now, which no one watches any more. And it didn't happen over night, it took a while, but the NFL is dead.

I think a lot of people think UT has great receivers when indeed they don’t!! UT doesn’t have wideouts that can create explosive plays against similar or superior talent!! They need to go get a Jeremiah Smith, Ryan Williams/5 ⭐️ dude to go along with the decent receivers they have that way it’s easier for guys with lesser talent to get open or be left open!!
@AL_1547
@AL_1547 7 күн бұрын
I think UT has very good receivers, but OSU does have the #1 defense in cfb. Only Oregon was able to really produce against them and they’ve since made a correction and cranked up the blitzes since that game. It just wasn’t UT’s night. I really don’t think there is a team in America that could’ve gone into the Shoe and won last night. OSU was firing on all cylinders. Not to mention, dudes like Jeremiah Smith and Ryan Williams don’t exactly grow on trees. We got a little spoiled this year having both of them come into cfb at the same time, but that was really an anomaly.

SEC and Bigten both have like 2 sometimes depending on the year that are truly Elite teams with Elite coaching staff. The rest of these two conferences are full of mediocre teams that have no depth. Now its about the university spending around 25 million a year or more for coaching staff and players if you truly want to win NC . The conference koolaid crap is exactly that Crap.

To me the top four seeds this year would’ve been 1)Oregon 2)Georgia 3)ND 4)Ohio State 2-1 against top 10 5) Texas 0-2 against top 10 if Texas wins one of the games against Georgia either in regular season or the SEC title game they would be #4 to me and Ohio State #5. 6) PSU 1 top 25 win & lost to OSU but played in Big10 championship game 7) Tennessee 1 top 25 win beat Bama Didn’t play in SEC Championship game 8) Boise state lost to Oregon by 3, 1 top 25 win #24 UNLV 9) Arizona State 2 top 25 wins 10 Clemson 1 top 25 win 11) Indiana no top 25 wins but there because 11-1 12) Alabama 2 top 25 wins & 1 of them against #2 UGA or SMU no top 25 wins SMU probably deserved it because of their record 11-2 & played in conference championship game, but to me Bama deserved it by quality of wins & would smashes SMU just like PSU did. But I’ve always said record should be first because there’s never gonna be equality with schedules. No matter much you try because you don’t know how good or bad teams are gonna be from one season to the next, there’s no way to schedule everybody equally. But to be honest, if I’m looking for who I think is better & would give a better games Alabama and twice on Sunday. Not to take away from SMU what they did, I just don’t think they can compete with the top 8 teams. I’m not sure Boise State can either they are a group of five team with a very weak schedule and the one game that they did play tough against Oregon that’s a one off game. Try have to do that for 6 out if your 8 or 9 conference games in the Big Ten or SEC. Boise State probably has three maybe four losses because they don’t have the depth or the star power to hold up over nine game season in those two conferences they just don’t.

I cant belive Big10 people are in here talking smack. The playoff was literally built so yall and the west coast could feel relevant in this era. The population shift in the US alone means we will continue to have better talent in the South (always did). Ohio is the lone outlier and im not sure how its remained that while Michigan and Pennsylvania dropped off. But yeah. Keep talking about your toughness when your best players are routinely from Georgia, Florida and Virginia. It is cute.i would have never complained about the dominance of Nebraska when they were on top. And when it Happens again i won't complain then either.

Texas has 1 ranked win, Tennessee has 1 ranked win. Make the SEC get rid of their weird mid season terrible non conference game so Texas has to play bama during the year and we can see if these teams are actually good or not.
