The Stones actually were playing g the blues very early in the bands career. Their music was some that helped me find the blues. I listened to rock for years and picked bands that were blues oriented. When I started listening to early bluemen from the Delta and Texas bluemen, I realized what I was looking for. Lightnin' Hopkins and John Lee Hooker got me where I wanted to be and from them to the rest of the old bluesmen who sang blues from the soul, I have forever been in blues heaven.
