Glad that Cliff's breeding project is bearing good fruits, can wait for your review of the meat with pictures. Also take care of your tools don't leave them covered with dirt after use, even if they're built for digging.

Steven I’m so impressed with your farm/homestead and your animals. Your SD chicken coop and run was the inspiration for our new coop and run. In March I got 10 chickens and they are thriving. Big THANK YOU! You have inspired me to learn and do as much as I can with the time I have left. Am in my seventies, but you have convinced me it’s never too late to learn. By the way, I didn’t know I could plant melons in my orchard in crummy soil. Gotta try that too! Yay, thanks again Steven!

Your homestead is coming along very nicely! Thank you for sharing with us! I live about an hour drive from Nashville. Started building my garden 2019, but since 2020, have been expanding. I was amazed and encouraged by how much food you produced on your suburban garden. Was delighted when you announced you were moving to Tennessee! Now I can see what works well for you here and pick up more tips! I am considering chickens and rabbits, but am mostly focusing on growing most of my own food. Not there yet, but I'm making progress, thanks to you and other content creators on here. Thanks so much! Many blessings to you and your family!

Hi Steven, I sure enjoyed your farm tour. Wow, you are really doing great, so much accomplished in such a short time! I was wondering what you do with your animals and family when a tornado threatens? My daughter lives in north eastern Texas and has had a few storms pass right through their 24 acre ranch. They don’t have a storm shelter for themselves let alone anything to protect their animals. What if anything do you have for protection?

Your garden is looking amazing! Thanks for the tip on the EMT maker pipe stuff. I could see using that to make shade structures for my pigs or anything else like that. And yes, augers are incredible! Be careful with the hand held ones though because if you hit a rock, they can kick back and hurt you. My in-laws have auger attachments for their tractor that are great for building fences. I haven't tried using it for trees yet, but that's a good idea if you get a big enough bit.

Thanks Jason, oh ya when I saw maker pipe I was like wow this is such a good idea. EMT was already useful but now it's infinitely useful.

Love the tour videos. As a gardener, this provides the most relaxation, inspiration and joy. Quick side note, homesteaders are always so quick to jump on killing animals and eating flesh for sustenance. The Lord never wanted animals killed and eaten for flesh, the lambs in Eden were slain for Adam and eves sin that has now been substituted by YAHSHUA. Once we stop eating flesh and killing animals for food then all the gardens will provide so much that even our barns will overflow with produce. Pests will be gone and the law of give ng will provide. Extra roosters should be given away for free to an aspiring family.

Thanks for sharing! What made you choose raised beds over directly planting into the soil?
