Ohio state was a 21 point favorite at home and lost to a 6-5 team. There is no way Ohio state should be ranked ahead of Tennessee. Ohio state should drop to 9 or 10. That was a bad bad loss.

Frank, you are absolutely right with your analysis, particularly with Tenn 8th and OSU 9th, however, the one thing you didn't mention, and I know it should not factor in, but I think it will.......there seems to be a Big 10 bias with this CFP Committee. Something makes me believe they will want that game in Columbus. I hope I am wrong, but I bet they will do that. Can't back it up, just my guess. Do we know the background on the CFP Committee? Just never heard much about the make-up of that group.

What people don't understand who are making the case for South Carolina is that there is no way the Committee is gonna put South Carolina over Bama. They absolutely want Bama in for ratings. Look at what happened to FSU last year. The conference championship games are gonna be very interesting and will change the playoff map too. Good show brother! Hosting Ohio State would be amazing!
@TheHouseofOrangeTN2 күн бұрын
Thanks for checking it out. I honestly think South Carolina is one of the best twelve teams, but they have three losses, so they can’t go in over Bama or Ole Miss. Head to head still has to matter.
@edis4ut2872 күн бұрын
Remember the Michigan A.D. is the head of the committee. A lot of “experts” I’m reading is putting Tennessee (9 ) vs Ohio State (8) seed in Columbus. Some talking head said to avoid a lot of controversy leave Alabama,Ole Miss, South Carolina out and put somebody in like SMU or Miami.
@greenwave8192 күн бұрын
it is interesting that he would want to help his archrival. Behind the scenes tho we have Cheatagin currently under a massive investigation and ofc the Vols justs shut the NCAA down with that lawsuit this year. So, by shading us he can curry favor...
@edis4ut2872 күн бұрын
@ he just beat his archrival without cheating this year. He’s no fan SEC I guarantee. If Tulane beats army they have a small chance of sneaking in as a 12 seed.

The reason Vols should pass Ohio State is because everyone told us Vol fans that WHEN you lose matters. We fell 6 spots losing to Georgia in athens. How can Ohio State only drop 5 spots losing to Michigan at home? WHEN you lose matters, remember? Or do we change the rules again? Our Arkansas loss is as ancient history as ND's NIU loss. We dominate Arkansas if we play again today with a more experienced Nico and ND dominates NIU today.
@TheHouseofOrangeTN2 күн бұрын

I think you're discounting the USCe win at Clemson. Not saying that guarantees them a spot in the field, but the Clemson was a quality recent win on the road against another team that's in the field. I'd love to see the 8/9 in Knoxville, but I think they'll see the OSU wins as better that the Vols' wins.
@TheHouseofOrangeTN2 күн бұрын
I’m not discounting it, but for me, I don’t discount head to head. I have to go Bama and Ole Miss over South Carolina because of that. I just can’t see a case for Carolina over either of those two even though I think they’re one of the best twelve teams.
@davyboy93972 күн бұрын
The committee also needs to take into account when a loss happened and where. Tennessee's best loss was recently recently to UGA but it was on the road. Our worse loss was early in the season on the road. OSU worse loss was literally the last game of their season against a terrible opponent at home. They should be more penalized than Tennessee imo
@TheHouseofOrangeTN2 күн бұрын
Absolutely! No way OSU should be rewarded with a home game when they finished the season with a loss at home to a double digit underdog.
@nolatone2 күн бұрын
Why is it when they talk about other teams and the playoff and talk about their “quality“ wins, they say “so-and-so was ranked in the top 25 at the time“. But for Tennessee they say “so-and-so ended up not being very good”. Both Oklahoma and NC State were ranked at the time we beat them.
@TheHouseofOrangeTN2 күн бұрын
I don’t get it, either. There has been a lot of double standard with these rankings.
@nolatone2 күн бұрын
@ I like to think the Vols BROKE NC State and OK. Looks like Oklahoma finally got over it, though, they played Bama hard.

It's not about being fair. It's about wins and losses. The conference championship still counts for you or against you. At least from what I read, it does.
@TheHouseofOrangeTN2 күн бұрын
It shouldn’t count against the SEC or Big Ten conferences. I think the ACC and Big 12 champions are the only ones from those conferences that get in. Texas, Georgia, Oregon, and Penn State are in. None of them should drop further than they are now.
@calvincorum63152 күн бұрын
Great show. So tired of hearing how Carolina belongs in playoffs. They lost 3 games. Bearly beat ODU. They have had a good year but the whole season counts. You cant pick out 6 games and say we are worthy. No 3 loss team should be in . No matter the schedule or name. 3 losses and your done period.
@TheHouseofOrangeTN2 күн бұрын

Frank, you said you don't think Georgia will be punished if they lose to Texas in the conference championship. What if SMU loses to Clemson. Will SMU be punished for losing their championship game?
@TheHouseofOrangeTNКүн бұрын
Absolutely. It’s two totally different scenarios. If Georgia loses, it’s to a one loss team. If SMU - who plays in a much weaker conference - loses to a 3 loss Clemson team - who lost both games against SEC teams - then they get penalized. Comparing the SEC and ACC is apples to oranges.
