@raymondmorrow7926 yes, been an issue for years... Do I really need to list all the poor draft picks and signings? This is a result of a poor Gm decision. Jury still out on Ran, not looking good but I believe he still has atleast one or two more years to clean up J Ron mess but he did make some mistakes in the beginning like deeming this team a few free agents from being competitive instead of tearing the whole thing down and rebuilding. That gamble has backfired so far.

I just don't see anything to look forwards to when it comes to Brian. He isn't going to turn into the next Dan Campbell just as Will isn't going to turn into the next Josh Allen. I see a lot of fans bringing Campbell's name up when talking about Brian yet their only comparisons so far are their bad records at the start of their coaching tenures. The Lions in 2021 had some very close games against some tough competition. We're having very close games with the Jags, Patriots, and Colts this year and getting blown out in the others.

Has nothing to do with the coach has to do with Levis. He’s just not that good. Like you look at the Patriots they’re one of the worst teams this year but they have a 22 year-old 6’4” 220 pound kid who is identical to Josh Allen coming out of college. They have a lot to look forward to he came close to beating Buffalo today. It’s crazy some of the throws he makes. Especially today through one of the most beautiful touchdown passes. I have ever seen this year. And he’s on the young side of 22. Will doesn’t look like he’s getting any better. I’m sorry I was just a big Drake fan with him coming out of college. If Tennessee had him they would be much better.

This team even at full strength has issues with good to great RB and Qbs who can run. When part of of your DL is banged up and being to your 5 or 6th LB on top of all backups in the secondary (Except Awuzie and Hooker being injured)...not exactly super shocked by the result vs a team who still has super slim path to the playoffs. We don't match well vs the Colts in recent years because their OL and DL are the strength of their team, even if the rest of the roster is very questionable. Only this season with Sweat and Latham that both of our trenches are starting to shape to look decent. For this team to make any turnaround, aside form finding our QB, we need to continue addressing both trenches. Really hope we can find a physical edge rusher in round one or 2 that can replace Arden Key, who is as best a #3 DE on most teams...Even Harold Landry, I'm over him but we need him until finding a bonafide Edge player... In the meanwhile, enjoy the tank! We increased our chances for a top 4 pick...

I don't know bro, I go back and forth on giving Callahan a 2nd year to see if he can pull it together. I am out on Levis but I would like to see Callahan with a better O line and a QB that isn't a pick 6 machine. The comeback did win me over a little. I mean Rudolph brought them back a long way almost single handledly. Yeah he had 1 bad INT but the other 2 weren't on him. 1 was out of Pollards hands and the other was a hail mary.

What I wholeheartedly recommend is firing Callahan and promoting Callahan Sr as interim HC. We did that when we fired Jay Gruden, and the man actually spent the rest of that season doing his best 1922 reenactment. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he actually went into the basement and dug up the 1922 playbook and then ran all the plays in it just to amuse/horrify us. It was an amazing experience.

We have playmakers on offense. Calvin Ridley , Tony Pollard , Chig , NWI. They haven’t looked bad and they’ve had good games. I want to use Cincinnati as an example. They were really bad in Burrows rookie year. He ended up getting hurt but they were able to build on a terrible season by getting Jamarr Chase as #1 target . It’s too early to give up on the roster. It’s been a terrible season no doubt but it looks like we’ve drafted better than years past based on last years class. It takes time to build a winner. Let’s get younger on defense. Get another receiver and continue to rebuild the O- Line . You can’t fix multiple years of draft busts and a stagnant offense in 1 season. That’s unrealistic. We had a few good years with coach Vrabel but we have to put it behind us now. Do I think Will Levis has a Joe B ceiling? No I don’t. But it’s his first full season and he wasn’t even healthy. Don’t write him off yet , playing QB at this level isn’t easy. Let’s beat Jacksonville and get a big Home Win against Houston to build some momentum.

I think the real issue is not true corner stone players. Sure Jeff is a great player but he’s not a natural born leader. He doesn’t know what to say to get the team going. We’ve got to bring in leaders, Tony P is the closest one we brought in and he’s a silent guy. We’ve need a voice and we don’t have one. We’ve got to have a Taylor Lewan type of guy and I can’t think of anyone on the team who exemplifies that.

I was out on callahan during his first presser when he cried. There is a great show from the 90s called king of the hill, one episode hank meets his hero president bush and then shakes his hand and discovers his wrist is limp and he felt immediate dissapointment. I was excited about the hire until the first presser. Like hank. Soft men do not inspire confidence.

Penalties at crucial times really is a problem this season. Need to work on discipline. These last three games will provide the tape for Callahan and his staff to evaluate every position and say who stays and who must go. Spend on upgrading positional players in the draft. Forget drafting a young QB.
