Tennessee vs. NC State Condensed Game | 2024 ACC Football

The #24 Wolfpack lost to the 14th-ranked Volunteers in the Duke's Mayo Classic, 51-10. Tennessee outscored NC State 31-7 in the second half, and they held the Wolfpack to 143 total yards. Quarterback Grayson McCall was 12-22 for 104 yards. KC Conception had five catches for 53 yards. The Wolfpack's lone touchdown came from an 87-yard Aydan White pick-six. Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava threw for 211 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 65 yards and another touchdown.

Tennessee is looking really good really early. Sampson is better than I thought he’d be. The defense is also even better than I expected. This is a team that can make a run. They’re going to get to shoot their shot.

@@zaxlesnah. Our o line is straight nasty. Especially with spraggins and Campbell. We just have to establish a deep threat receiver and then that will alleviate some of the pressure and time Nico has to stand in the pocket

The second interception was completely on the O-line. So he had one bad play in 3 starts, with 2 of those starts against ranked Power Conference teams

I have been watching UT for 35 plus years. I was pretty sure after Chattanooga that this was the best team we have ever had. But it was just UTC. Well UT just blew out NC state with a so-so game from Nico Iamaleava. That defense can go. Hard to imagine UT winning less than 10.

If he turns into what he can/will be this team can win a chip, whenever his transformation to great is. If he gets there by Alabama, we absolutely are capable of beating them and Georgia (less confidence on UGA).

Bama is gonna be fine. They are young, not much leadership at this point and after West Kentucky, they felt a little unbeatable. All that will work itself out. Also injuries on the offensive line caused the problems Bama had moving the ball. Lets see how they are at Wisconsin that will tell us how good the coaching staff really is.

Tennessee looked good, but not quite as good as NC State looked bad, lets be honest. NC State never deserved to be in the top 25 honestly, which is why they aren't anymore. But there were a lot of mistakes Tennessee made that a better opponent would have capitalized on. Such as 2 balls that would have been picked off by an elite defense. One possibly for a pick 6.
