You left out the one thing that actually led to CU winning. +3 turnover differential. It’s easy to protect better vs Colorado State, and more time allows Sanders to go through his progressions. Forcing turnovers and holding onto the ball was the difference here.

Probably his only flaw, that's carried over from Jackson State to CU is that sometimes he holds onto the ball too long. One good thing from that, I guess, is that he'll be accustomed to not having protection in the NFL because you get 4 seconds, max, to get the ball out. Its one of the reasons why big school QBs in college don't succeed in the NFL because they went from having 5 star O line and 5 star WRs to everyone being equal. Guys like Bryce Young had literal 8+ seconds to throw the ball on plays and don't look comfortable at all in the NFL. Brock Purdy was running for his life every down at Iowa State.

Give CU credit they did what they were supposed to do, no matter the level of the competition. They ran the ball a little more with success, play calling seemed to be better, and good push on the line. Great game CU. Better coaching job Coach Prime.
