Like that combo; in-the-body serve and then rolling the ball back CC low and shallow so the receiver had to do a little scrambling to reach the ball. With my partner on the lookout for the opponent looking down at the court, the poach opportunity avails itself. 🙏👍

@@RoccoDemateis-x9l The timing of the poach is a little tricky because you’re so close to the ball with your opponent way inside their baseline. I’d probably go with the fake. But then again, I’m not Chris Morgan 👏

Angles beget angles !! you put the ball back in front of your partner which neutralized the angled return. If I get pulled wide of the doubles sideline I sometimes go down the line with a topspin dipper - when we are ahead in the score in that game AND to keep the opposing netman from going for the poach. If they have to honor the DL, the middle stays more open and the crosscourt (the bread and butter shot) has less pressure on it / easier to make. Keep the guessing :)

I thought Paul hit a great return stretching you out so far; should Len have crashed forward harder to cut off your angles on your volley?

@@mstrauss306 Yeah he definitely could’ve but he’s gotta also consider covering his line. So there’s no perfect choice every time.
