100% true. I hate Kyrgios' attitude, but his point about Nadal taking all his time is on point. It feels like the umpires are very indulgent over Nadal's serve in Grand Slams simply because there's something in it for them. This is my issue with Nick Kyrgios: he was making a valid point about Nadal failing to play to the speed of the server (and I’m saying that as a massive Nadal fan). But the way he goes about it is all wrong. He’s grown so used to arguing with umpires (a lot of the time for less valid reasons than during this year’s Wimbledon match) that when he has a valid challenge, he doesn’t articulate the issue well. It’s second nature for him to veer off topic and just start bashing the umpire which isn’t going to achieve anything. In fact, it usually has the adverse affect that he desires. Also, the spitting at 8:55 makes me agree with commentators, former players and current players (like Nadal) that he lacks basic respect for the game.

Regarding the time, mind games-Kyrgios plays them and Rafa played right back (on average Nadal was at 26 secs, one sec above the limit). That shot on Rafa was bs and Kyrgios didn't even acknowledge the fact it was a purposeful body shot; he should have apologized; it's called tact, something that is still prized in Tennis bro *Aside, Nick is a true talent and should take a page from Paire's book; he stopped the complaining and freaking out and rose from high 50s to high 20s. Huge Nadal fan here but Kygrios was every bit right to react that way. He may have come off as disrespectful but that umpire was not doing his job to make sure players all follow the rules. I've seen Nadal have a go at umpires sometimes and normally they just brush him off. But to receive a code violation for asking (if true as claimed) to play with new balls just before the server serves is a bit much. I mean if that's the case, then Nadal should have received time violation for every time he put off Kyrgios off his service motion/routine. Plus, that call on the hawk eye to not replay points was hugely unfair. The umpire should have given Kyrgios the benefit of the doubt knowing that the only reason the call was challenged was because the line judge called it out.

the tournament does lick nadal and fed's asshole.. his points were pretty valid. in a posh posh environment most would not have the balls to speak up.

Jimmy Nadal has done his same routine for 15 years against hundreds of opponents, and he’s not the only one who takes this long. Kyrigios needs to stop being an asshole and give him the basic, sportsmanlike courtesy of a few extra seconds to get ready.

@@georgeglassell9865 u moron. . He had EVERY right to speak up about the umpires BS. He called the serve, which affected his return and the umpire just ignored that. Disgraceful umpire, and he had the courage to speak up.

They should have the Hawkeye system set up the way it was at Madrid this year and Acapulco with the actual camera angle. Zero doubt

Hawk eye technology is absurd, it gives the shadow of the ball on that perticular spot which will be bigger than that of point of contact of ball to the ground. So mostly point of contact may be out of line but the hawk eye shadow shows the shadow to be on line(right call).
