It was a lot of fun to hang with you, Beckett! You are too nice to me, but I will take it :) I remember we were pretty tired during this one, but at least we got a hit in. Next time we play a set or something

There's something very soothing about watching you guys just hit cooperative rallies back and forth. Worlds colliding in the youtube space but just for a chill hang. Peaceful. Happy for you guys!

Aloha Beckett, It was nice watching you guys on location and getting to hit with each other! I hope Jonas was as thrilled as you were! 🤣

Wow! I grew up playing on these courts. Glad to see they are still around. Great hitting!

insane! We loved the courts, played great, beautiful location and great community around it. A super friendly coach was teaching next door.

Nice to see you two hitting together. Would love a vlog about the trip. Also, funny you mentioned the pro staff 97 v14 to have a large sweet spot, in the tw measurements, it says it's, frankly, huge. Always wondered if it was an error.

Do you play till strings break or you cut it after certain time? Thanks
@TennCom4 сағат бұрын
I usually cut when I notice the strings' performance dropping. This varies by string but usually gets quite noticeable when the main strings are 30% notched. Some strings I can take to 50% and still enjoy (Grapplesnake). The O-Toro/Sync setup I've got here is good for about 5-8h depending on the intensity of the hit.

There is nothing better on the market than RF97A. PS97v14 comes close and it is in my bag but this pleasant flex it has kills the power that RF97A has due to its stiff throat. PS97v14 is a great great racket though. Definitely a better PS compared to v13.

General question here : What factors do affect swing weight besides weight and balance? I want to buy HEAD speed pro that's close to my spec but I can not measure the new one i"m buying beside weight and balance So lets say if I find the new one that has the same weight and balance will the SW be somewhat similar or are there other factors that will majorly affect SW
@TennCom4 сағат бұрын
Weight distribution affects swingweight. Imagine a racquet that's 100g and even balance. You can have all 100g in the middle of the frame to get an even balance, or you can have 50g in the tip and 50g in the tail of the racquet. Both racquets still weight 100g and are even balance, but the racquet with the weight at the tip and tail have a much higher swingweight.

@ appreciate the answer I get it know So If i get somewhat similar static weight and balance I should be good to go As a results obviously I want to have matching sticks

I don't know if this is throwing mad shade, but watching this video it looks like you arent generating much racket head speed on the forehand. A head-heavy setup will compensate for that, which might be why your shots are heavier with the Rafa. I wanted to comment because it makes me wonder if the racket is becoming a crutch. I see the comments mentioning you were tired, though.
@TennCom14 сағат бұрын
Yeah I would say neither of us were playing particularly well after several consecutive days on court shooting drills and doing photo shoot stuff. Both of us were trying more to find a groove with our rally balls and footwork which for me usually means lower RHS. Just trying to relax and finally find a rhythm after a week of stop-start tennis.
@rbarreira211 сағат бұрын
Isn't it about swing weight and not the balance point? Do your shots get less heavy if you add weight in the handle?
@TennCom11 сағат бұрын
@@rbarreira2 with the Rafa specifically my swingspeed plummets by adding weight to the handle yes
@andrewseung269214 сағат бұрын
Just a random thought, but would it be reasonable to say that if I took like the ezone 98L or RF future and weighted it up with 10 grams at 3.9 and leather grip, would it be better than their standard versions? And if it is possible would it match the levels of stability as the pure aero/strike 98
@TennCom14 сағат бұрын
That seems feasible yes but I can't say for sure. My experience with that kind of extreme modification is limited and didn't really work when I tried it with a Pure Storm team

@TennCom15 сағат бұрын
I just use one, a thin dry grip over a leather grip, which was too firm for Jonas at the time because the hot dry weather gave him blisters. So we put a plush tacky one on top to make things more comfortable.
