What was previously called Experimental Tour is now live as "Lynx Tour". A shaped and Champagne-colored polyester with a good blend of control and spin and above-average comfort.

Nice review, Jonas! I do play the Lynx Tour with my T-Fight xtc 295, strung 10% below my average level. This is working great to me. Armfrendly, good mix of spin, Power and control. It even makes for fun to play fast rallys...and still tension los is very low. My prefered set-up currently 👍

I just tried this string in the mains at 55lbs in my 2020 Yonex Ezone 98 16x19 with TF Synth gut in the crosses at 55lbs. I really enjoyed this string and balls were going where I wanted them and was predictable with good control and spin. Gonna see how long it plays now until it needs cutting out.

Hey @tennisnerd ! I play with cyclone at 53-55 , and I like it because it feels pretty stiff to me! How similar are these strings and what are the benefits of each? I am aware strings won't change my whole game, but I would like to know!

Hi, they are quite similar. I prefer the feel and comfort of Lynx Tour, it is not as stiff as Cyclone. But they still offer similar levels of control and spin.

How would this feel compared to Solinco Confidential? I use a Pure Strike 16x19.
@joakimharlin90302 жыл бұрын
Lynn Tour is heavier and thus bumps up the swing wheight a bit more than confidential. I find them to play quite close, confidential is a bit crisper with slightly better spin and lynx tour possibly with slightly better touch and control. But i guess these parameters could Change depending on gauge and tension. Both great strings in a Head Extreme Tour!

Hi TN! How dominant a characteristic is the shape of Lynx Tour and is it a viable option for a hybrid with gut mains in terms of shredding/movement?
@Tennisnerd4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jake, it is not shaped enough not to be useful in hybrids. I actually like it most in a hybrid with HEAD Velocity MLT or natural gut.
@guyg64174 жыл бұрын
For the Speed MP or Speed MP Lite racquet how many pounds of tension would you recommend for a hybrid setup with the velocity MLT and how many pounds for full bed?
@Tennisnerd4 жыл бұрын
I would go 55 lbs on Velocity in the mains and 53 lbs on the Tour in the crosses. On a full bed, I would go 52 lbs.
@ericshine14 жыл бұрын
@Tennisnerd would you say the same for the 360 Speed Pro? And how does the spin and control compare between the hybrid w velocity in the mains vs a full bed of Lynx Tour? Thx

How does lynx tour compare to lynx edge as both are shaped ?
@jugheadfla3 жыл бұрын
I have been using lynx edge up until recently when I tried Lynx Tour and now I have permanently switch to tour. Lynx edge is a little to soft for me so the control was not as good and it tended to get launchy even off of the stringer. Lynx Tour had far more control than edge and its crisp but very comfortable. I think edge has more sides than tour but I didn't notice that much difference in spin, they are very comparable in the aspect.

I hit with this for 2 weeks in my VCP97 and While i liked it at first, after 5 days of hitting I started to dislike it and cut it out after 2 weeks. I didn't get near enough spin out of it after the first couple of hours and the feel was a little on the mushy side. Wasn't horrible but will not buy again.

whats the difference between alu power and lynx tour? @tenniserd

Alu power, Hyper-g, cyclone vs this? Your thoughts?
@CoDINmyHEART4 жыл бұрын
Agree, more side by side thoughts :)
@Tennisnerd4 жыл бұрын
Alu Power is a bit less spin-friendly, but gives a bit more control. Hyper-G is quite similar, a bit more spin, but a tad stiffer though. Holds tension better than the others. Cyclone is also quite close, good control, feels a bit stiffer to me and loses tension pretty quickly. I would put Lynx Tour the closest to Hyper-G. I like all of the strings, but probably Hyper-G and Lynx Tour the best.
@Tennisnerd4 жыл бұрын
Will work on that for upcoming reviews.
@ianmueller-hickler57994 жыл бұрын
@@Tennisnerd Interesting I would have thought alu power had more power. Does the hyper-g produce less power than lynx tour?
