ACTennis is the the most thorough racquet reviewer in youtube, helped me made me switch to my blade pros. I would trust his reviews more than most....

Is there anything like the blade pro with a slightly lower sw? I play at 325 and afraid of 340 lol

ACTennis has the ability to understand a racquets characteristics and convey it's pros and cons - even if it's not designed for AC's primary style. This is what makes him the GOAT of racquet reviews. He has certainly fuelled my racquet addiction with his utterly through reviews - I didn't need a HEAD Gravity Pro but because AC used it as his primary racquet we needed one too 🤣 The collaboration was awesome and it's interesting to hear two tennis aficionado's chop it up and give their thoughts on all things tennis. 👍

@@outcometechnologythat guy just doesn't understand racquets and therefore can't understand and appreciate the differences. Probably isn't at the level where he can feel the ball dwelling on the sweetspot. This isn't a matter of opinion, just ignorance really.

Great interview! The up and coming ambidextrous player we should be watching out for is Teodor Davidov. He's still a kid and hopefully he'll make it to the professional ranks in the future.

What is funny is that we tend to focus too much on what happens on our side, but we should be focussed on what our ball is doing on the other side. Yesterday I played with an old dunlop that was waaaay under spec and I customized to to an ok level 323 swing weight, which is still lower than my regular 330. During warm up my buddy was aleady saying that my balls were falling short in the court and that was happening with playing with pretty strong wind in my back. So I adapted my stroke to find more debt. The moment we started playing a match my normal habits kick in and although the racket felt good and the ball felt great coming of the strings, I was being burnt left and right. So after losing the first set I switched to a heavier racket with more swing weight and directly kept my opponent in check and further back. Did the ball or stroke feel much different? No, but the effect on the other side was huge.

The Australian Open is the most accessible and affordable slam. Melbourne is an amazing city and Melbourne Park is right on the fringe of the city itself. It’s the most fun slam to attend and the easiest to get tickets for.

Ah yeah he makes good reviews as well. I would say ACtennis makes more thorough and detailed reviews though. Perhaps if I could understand Mandarin instead of relying on the captions I could appreciate his reviews more. Seems like he hasn't uploaded in a while sadly.

I live next to Wimbledon and the main system for tickets is a ballot which you can enter if you are a part of a club or a member with the LTA, there is no guarantee you will get selected in the ballot but its the best way to get good tickets. The que idea last year they kept on closing the que at 4pm so annoying...

I get criticized by many players to choose a backhand. I have always hit either a 1HBH or 2HBH depending on the day, opponent, or type of shot. The 2HBH never feels natural to me, but I can hit it well. I feel better hitting a 1HBH. I've been told that I would be a better player if I just pick one and use it, but I have more fun using both. 👍
@adamshettle53912 ай бұрын
Obviously you know the breath of your audience better than I do, but speaking as a viewer who customizes I get more out of a review that focuses on what you cannot change about a frame and the range of possibilities the racquet does well. Obviously you can't change the weight minimums so any restrictions this creates is important. Like if it comes off the shelf heavy and very deploarized, then you'd have to make it very very heavy to polarize it and that may be a problem for some. But after that, I am looking for commentary on the layup, mold shape, string pattern, head size and head shape.
@imodium51187 ай бұрын
1:25:00 I'm interested about what you say there. What do you mean by "increase playability ?" The purpose of having round soft poly in the cross is not to increase spin potential ?
@ACTennis7 ай бұрын
Hahah sorry just badly worded, was not speaking very well or clearly probably because i was nervous - i'm actually only referring to comfort and stiffness, because i have a sensitive wrist and arm, i can use those particular cross strings and it will still make even much stiffer racquets comfortable enough to play with even with full poly set up

They have relaunched this year. Visit their website and you'll see they have 1 mold with various headsizes available for customization. The price tag is quite high though. There will be a second mold available soon. Also, balls, strings, overgrips and other stuff. We'll have to wait and see in a few months.

1HBH... My guess on this (for those who care 😅) is that real issue is that teachers don't take the time, and the kids won't lose time, and it's easier to start with the 2HBH... that's a mess.
