Best wishes for 2025 Tom! Yeah pretty happy with the choice of Claude; I'm not his biggest fan but he's talented, charismatic and has a very positive vibe. I think this is a great stage for him. The Netherlands really need a positive turn after last year's mess and I think he can really do that. Tbh, I don't know how much you know about Dutch politics, but in the current state we're in I kinda like the fact that we're being represented by an former refugee with (as the press release stated) a "meaningful and connecting" song.

He may be a good choice: he's young, he's handsome and fresh, he moves well, he has an interesting bio. The voice is nice, fairly powerful even if it is difficult to understand his potential range. What struck me first is that he is not singing in ""ordinary"" French. He has an extremely audible African accent and that adds a specific colour to his singing. I am not a great fan of mixed language lyrics, but they seem to be specific to his style. While I am sure he will be liked by many, I'm not sure how popular his kind of pop will be for viewers from the UK and Southern Europe. I can't wait to listen to his entry.

Of almost all his songs he released international versions, and they were all in English-French. You can easily find those versions on YT and Spotify. Mostly the indication 'international version' has been added. E.g. Ladada, Leyla. Personally, I hope for english-french in esc.

I live in Australia and so some of the song and Artist reveals happen while I'm sleeping. When I first found out that the Dutch had revealed that the song would be in 2 languages before I found out Claude was representing the Netherlands or any thing about Claude and I read the comments on the post revealing the song would be in 2 languages and I saw People speculating about which 2 languages it would be and I was thinking it was super obvious that it would be Dutch and English. Its Fair to Say I was confused when I saw people were predicting that French was going to be one of the languages. Now that I know why he would sing in French I think He will sing in Dutch and French. I dont know how often songs get sequels like Movies so, I dont know if you can send a sequel to Eurovision but I would like a Ladada 2 because I like the original a lot. On an Unrelated Note I want someone to sing songs about their dads at Junior Eurovision to see how that goes and if they win as well then we need to send a song singing about Mum and send a Song singing about Dad for Science.

I think its normal for Artists singing in French to just use their First name and not their last name like Claude. I know Some past Junior and Adult Eurovision representatives do such as Slimane, Carla, Valentina, Tali, Enzo, Amir, Carla, Titouan and Angelina (I think her first name is Spelled Angélina but for her sage name she removes the Accent from the e). And I think Zoé Clauzure has gone by Zoé in the past. Even outside Eurovision Im pretty sure Stromae, Indila, Vianney and Angèle all do as well. And there is probably more. Just to make int clear Im not saying all do. Im not aware of Barbara Pravi ever going by Barbara but I'm pretty sure a lot of them do

Being from the Netherlands, I think this is a great pick. Although I think it's a little bit on the safe side, seeing as basic pop songs never tend to win in Eurovision, I think it will be fun and will definitely be a safe qualifier. There have also been rumors about the song being in English and French, so that could be interesting and it could appeal to many people.

Hi Tom, there is an english/french version as well that might give a better idea what the song Ladada is about. And how he mixes 2 languages smoothly in the same sentence. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIK0k5puZ9R7etksi=f7HPnm9sUaelpHvV To add some background info, he is with the same management as Ilse de lange (from Common Linets) and Duncan Laurence.
