Mine too, I think MAYBE our country can have its first win in Eurovision. But I'm afraid of jury, to be honest. They may think it is too simple for a song contest. if only the people would vote, I think they would be winners. The group is hard working, good people, so they would deserve the win. And even if they will not, the message of the song is perfect.

You only need to be in the top 8 of jury/televote and then win the other one to be in with a chance of winning. For example, a song that comes 8th in jury can still win if it comes 1st in televote.

@@RasaAkstiniene nah. They actively tried to kill Serhat last year and didn't succeed. If a song is fun enough, the public will get behind it big time, at least in the semis where the "more informed" crowd is the only one watching.

I can see this get top 3 or top 5 in the contest, however I can't see it winning. Musically it isn't complex or interesting enough to do extremely well with the juries I would think. With its staging and entertainment factor I could see it winning the televote however, there are so many people who are gonna love it.

The short of it is they're like a relevant, singing Serhat song, or a "serious" Verka. They're of course not serious and that's why casual viewers will love it. People watch the Eurovision to be entertained. See Norway last year. And they're harking back to the golden 80s synth pop which is back in the charts. Currently they're the only positive, happy song in the contest. Televote top 3, possibly winners. The juries will be afraid to be seen to like it though. Those songs always make it to second place somehow.

Yea the "jury fear" will be a big hurdle with this. Thats where the media buzz around this in the days before the competition will be crucial. If it gets the tag of legit art, the floodgates are open for the jury to vote for this without their silly worrying about what people will think about their votes when they are made public.

I guess I´m the only one who doesn´t understand the hype around this entry. Listened to it several times and I just can´t connect to it whatsoever. The only vibe that I´m getting from this song is that it is following modern trends, yet I see no depth to it at all. For me, this is nothing more than a tryhard.

@@ESCTom Well, you´ll be happy to hear that this thing did grow on me after couple of weeks of listening. I still think that its kinda try-hard with the whole choreography, but musically I can finally accept it now.
