looked highly impressive in the early part of 2021. Had a breakthrough clay-court season. But since that heartbreaking defeat in the FO finals, his mental strength has taken toll and his spirit seems to be dampened after that agonizing loss. He hasn't been the same since then. Hopefully, he finds more motivation and returns with a bang next year. A talent which tennis can't afford to lose.

If Stefanos want to be among the top 3 constantly during the following years, he must improve his backhand's slice, because he is still fragile. However, 2022 can become the year during which he will become the main favorite on clay.

Federer was a four time grand slam champion at Tsitsipas' age. Federer didn't have such glaring weaknesses in defense and on the return of serve, and his attacking game was much more potent, too. His creativity, touch, reflexes were in a completely different league. Stefanos is the best hope we-Roger fans-have, but nobody is the new Federer.

@matthiasehling67632 жыл бұрын
He likes to extend his bathroom pauses during crucial parts of the match. That is why players have to change shirt, shoes, and socks on the court now and can go to the bathroom anymore. Just an example why he put many people against him this year. Though he played a great first 2 Sets in FO-final but then he started to make mistakes while Djokovic stepped up his game...
@karubtw2 жыл бұрын
he has been called out numerous times of his father coaching him during matches as well as disrespecting umpires, ballkids and players
@divinitymode93642 жыл бұрын
@@mysteriousbo4168 I don’t think it’s the bathroom breaks. They’re annoying but a lot of players have their own tricks and ploys to put opponents off. Gamesmanship is part of games. Like the way Zverev always makes people wait for him at the coin toss and then when he finally walks over it’s always with the racket still in its plastic wrapper which he then unwraps while looking like he’s got better things to do. Part of the psychodrama. The thing I’m talking about is that real connection the fans have with certain players. Nadal and Federer had it in spades. And now that they’re slowly bowing out, tennis needs someone to connect at that level. Alcaraz maybe? We’ll see. But I don’t think there’s anyone in the top ten that has the X-factor.
