Carlos also did an amazing come back in the 3rd. But Carlos played just a bit too short on his forehand to hurt Djokovic in the third, he was not resetting Djokovic's position relative to the baseline with deeper shots. His 1st serve percentage also dropped in the 3rd. He knows exactly what he has to work on.

Also, Djokovic is 36 and not at his best. Of course he has been pushed to this límits before. A better, younger and fitter viersion of Nkvak has lost Masters 1000 matches to Fedal many times. In fact, Nadal leads Djolovic 10-7 in Slam meetings (including 2-1 at the US Open). So you saying no one in the history of tennis has challenged Novak like Alcaraz is ridiculous ignorance.

If Djokovic somehow wins 30 grand slams in his career, to me I don't think their should be any doubt about eho is the greatest sports player of all time. Before last few years, Federer was considered as one of the greatest athletes ever. And Djokovic playing easily in the toufhest era of this sport, spending most of the time against Federer and Nadal, two other greatest players of this sport, facing both of them nearly 60 or more times in his career, and now facing another GOAT potential in the making at 36 years old... If somehow in this ultimate competitive era he wins 30 grand slams, I don't think any other athlete was even close to Djokovic in his sport. Seeing how Federer was one of the greatest athletes ever few years ago, and seeing someone who wins 10 slams morr than him and destoys him in every other stat of this game... That's true something from another universe. I will say again, this was definitely the greatest era of tennis.

(like ferrer, tsonga, monfils, berdych, nishikori, etc..) idk, i find this current era to be quite weak. i’m sure things will improve in the near future, but i’m speaking about current and the past couple years.

To be 36 years old ……,… He came from a TOUGH upbringing, a child of war. In my opinion he is the best. He has everything, but most of all, he has this war-like mental capasity.. I think that put’s other players on the edge of breaking down. He broke Alcaraz heart here and I think Alcaraz has much respect for Djokovic after this. In my opinion they match up very well. I just have a feeling of more fluidness in Novak’s game. To be so ELASTIC from all these BATTLES he’s had in his long career …. I mean, U have to respect the man! He still possesses that ELASTIC AND FLUID GAME !!!! INCREDIBLE !!!!!!!!! IT’S JUST INCREDIBLE to see this !!!!! AT 36 YEARS OLD, HE JUST WONT GO DOWN !!!!!!!!!!!!!

@@ash210ifysports don’t work like that. Alcaraz could be an early bloomer. He has less than 5% of the career accomplishments Novak has. Maybe if he gets half…or 75%, then we can talk. But now? It’s obscene. He’s literally won TWO majors. Djokovic at age 36 has won 2 this year alone 😂
