It doesn't. The card glows as long as you have the necessary cards to banish from the ED. The second effect (to banish the opponent's field) is optional and MD will let you activate Equation Cannon even if you won't be able to do that part of the effect.

if your whole extra deck is put into it, then you dont play it like a trap you play it when you can or you manipulate the board to get the right number. like bait out a negate so your card dies and now your at the right number. going -2 to -7 your worth it. but sometimes you just lose like to rank 4 decks or link decks if you dont have the right supporting traps, i:e karma cannon.

good specifically in Labrynth bc theoretically, Lab can have no extra deck. with that in mind, the extra deck is now dedicated to the fusions and xyz for specifically SEC Lab can control the cards on board to be favored by the effect almost all the time it's a Normal Trap deck, so Lab can just recycle it if needed

To simplify the maths for this: The xyz rank you send has be equal to the difference between the opponent’s monster level/rank and the card total, and the fusion level has to be the difference between the DOUBLE the opponent’s rank level and the card total To show it mathematically, F=2M-T X=T-M Where F is fusion level, M is opponent’s monster level/rank, T is card total, and X is sent xyz rank

@ Yeah, it only works with T>M, since you’d need negative ranks in your ED to get it to work otherwise. It’s weird because it’s typically easier to resolve when your opponent runs higher level monsters, but if they get too high level you lose the chance.

You actually don't need a calculator for the cannons. Just subtract the level of the monster you're picking from the total number of cards. The answer will be the rank Xyz ranks you need, then just add the required fusion. Eg. Total cards: 14 Level: 8 14 - 8 = 6 2 rank 6 xyz and a level 2 fusion.

Tbh the "maths" is just two easy subtractions like it's not even difficult... What makes it tricky is if your opponent chains to your activation and modifies the total card count.

Count total cards on field and in hands, (example being 15 cards total) subtract 15 from the level of the monster you are trying to target, let’s say a Lvl 8 monster. 15-8=7, now you take the product of the first subtraction and subtract it against the monster’s Lvl again so we get 8-7=1. So in this case you send two rank 7 Xyz monsters and a Lvl 1 fusion monster to resolve the effect (First subtraction for the Xzy monster’s rank) (Second subtraction for the Fusion monster Lvl)

Its hilarious how much Vaalmonica hard counters tenpai. A trap that bounces a monster and destroys a spell/trap, that can be activated up to 3 times depending on your board. Innate board wipe protection with their link-1. And its a very cheap deck to build. It doesnt even have all of its support yet either.

@@awxangel6781 2 things that make the spreadsheet useful. (1) I call it dynamic because it changes when I change the fusion/XYZ options. I COULD fill a sheet by doing the math 30 times, but I'd have to do it again every time I change the extra. I can easily compare extras against the levels I'll hit. (2) You can get what you want. The site is nice, but my sheet lets me know if cannons will resolve in like 5 seconds instead of having the put in the level and total cards EVERY time, especially in changing game states. You decide what information you want.

Solemn strike is pretty standard in trap labrynth even though it's not a normal trap and sometimes even draco utopian aura is in the deck. Generally, a monster negate that you can almost never respond to is quite good and strike also insulates your welcomes from ash blossoms that will often times deny you access to engine and essentially kill you because non labrynth normal trap cards do not grant you any follow-up plays they just aim to trade positively with whatever your opponent throws at you...

Duel, and because of this they oftentimes will summon the wrong things at the wrong time, or click the wrong button and can't go back from it, and because of that they threw the game because now they can't do what they're going to do all because They messed up and so they quit or pork connection, one of the two or they got called away lol, but more than likely no, they affed up on their turn.And for them, it's just easier to quit and move on to the next one lol
