Total honor scores I think is 14 (11 300s 3 800s). Weirdest leave is that 3-4-9 for sure. 8th for when I start thinking about it. Purple balls.

Highest recorded game is 275, when i was 14 (which is a horrific number of years ago). The tragedy is i was using a 10lb house ball bowling backup (had no idea what that term even meant at the time). The AMF Alley gave me a certificate for it (business no longer exists). I'm now bowling in a league for the first time (at 15lbs) with a crap load of expensive equipment and i can't break 250... It was more fun when i was a kid... 😄

I don't count honor scores I am a lefty and hit the pocket, the 4 slapped the 7 and it stood up in the ten pin spot, perfectly, TWO times in 1 series. I don't have a lot of 299s. I either miss on the 11th ball, or shoot 300. purple bowling balls strike most, followed by black I enjoy how you do not take yourself very seriously.

If I stay to the bowling alley until I got a 300 I might be there a year. I've never got a 300 I bold for 3 years between 7 years old and 10 years old and then I started blowing again at 49 years old and it's being 6 months of going once a week and league Learning Boeing from scratch 40 years later isn't easy. Plus finding out that your thumb is to messed up to use, making you switch to two-handed.... As a kid, I think I got a 225 or 226 as my high game. As an adult my average is 140 lol But I've had some mid and highway 90s and a 207. There's a lot of factors involved in me not bowling well vision. My thumb a partial tear in my bicep from trying to do one-handed with no thumb and I'm just too old to learn something new maybe lol

@@TenPinLife I don't do poorly at anything. That's my mindset but now I'm old with some disabilities like fibromyalgia and some some condition that's yet to be determined. It's affecting all my joints randomly. So I'm either going to get better at bowling or it's going to be the first time I give up on something. People told me in junior high in high school that I couldn't get big lifting weights. When I graduated junior high I was 6'1 128 lb I have been lifting weights for 2 years already. In high school I grew another half inch and by the time I graduated I was 146 lb I continue lifting weights by the time I was 28 years old. I was finally able to break 200 lb of body weight. At that point I started working out just iron 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, not including running a couple miles a day playing tennis and playing with my kids. By the time I was 35 years old, I had reached 230 lb. 50-in chest 19 inch arms, 28.75 inch thighs and a 36-in waist with no steroids ever. Fast forward. I just turned 50. I weigh 204 and I have trouble working out because I have so many issues but I haven't given up

One honor score when I was 17..and that was a long time ago. Close since returning.. I will get my name on the house board. Oh, and all the guys around me who are well past ten.. they still count and can reel off the number plus one on nights when they, yet again, pop a 300 or an 800.. ho hum.. Weirdest leave? compressed a three pin dead into the 6 pin spot on a dead flush hit. so, a pocket six pin... that was a three pin..

Your night road is replicating every session I have with mine. I want to love it, but if I open my angles and get it a hair right, it 10 pins. Then I reel it in just a tiny bit, and then I get a 7 pin. So then I jump left a couple boards and it sails past the head pin. You gave up at this point, but I usually stick it out, and jump right and throw it super straight up the track to get 2 strikes in a row, just to start the whole thing all over again.

The Night Road has been a strange ball for me...I can strike at will with it in practice. A 15-bagger on one occasion, and 17 a few days later. But in any kind of competition it's been useless. It's either 10 pin city, or it just stands up 30' down lane and rolls out. Very weird...

@@TenPinLife In my limited experience (League bowling for 10 years now), I've had the front 8 enough to say that yes...using the phrase "its not real till you've got the front 8" has helped me stay level as those strikes start to mount. #'s 9, 10, and 11 are more of a rarity and I've been in position to have a look at #12 twice now and I'm 1 for 2. The first time I remember thinking, "I'm about to shoot 300". Then I grabbed my ball and couldn't feel my legs. I somehow still made my approach and delivery but was too slow and left the 6-10 (Lefty). The second time I got interested in some article on my phone as soon as I hit the front 5. After each ball I high fived the teammates, drew my cards, sat down and continued reading. Strikes 10 and 11 were without incident, but I took an extra moment before 12 and stretched my arms, took a couple of deep breaths. I still had noodle legs as I took that first step but I exhaled through it and delivered for the X. I do think just keeping my brain elsewhere helped. What I think helped even more though, was after each ball, I took note of the reaction, the finish, etc and made a quick mental note of any adjustment I might need to make for the next shot (all while I was still at the approach). I would make a decision before I headed back to the table (same shot, half a board right, 2 and 1, etc) and then go immediately back to reading whatever article it was until it was my turn again. I guess it was the perfect mix of staying mentally present, and distracted. Making decisions before I sat down prevented me from thinking about it while at the table, and also prevented me from forgetting [what my last shot did, or where I stood, or what I needed to do next] while getting lost in a conversation or reading something. Sorry for the novel. Dig the content.
