In league, urethane's a crutch used by bowlers who generally aren't very good that use it to ruin everyone elses look to keep scores down so that the better players don't shoot tax file numbers against them. These are almost always the same dudes that are afraid to strike. If they're accurate it's generally not an issue because you can play around it, if they're inaccurate - forget it. Breakpoint's f*cked, carry's abysmal and lanes play like open play on a Saturday night.

This was great explanation but I would like a video showing what a ball will do at the back end with 2000,3000,4000, 5000, grit and high polished with each grit?

Just got my hands on this. This ball delivered. Bowled a 224 and 259 in my first two games. I’m a slower rev 14-16 and stayed right and it she hooked beautifully. Definitely try it.

And to throw an even bigger loop at you, the surface changes with each throw. So, a 2000 grit surface can become a 3000-4000 grit surface in just a few games even when you are wiping off the ball after each throw.

Plastic ball with a strong core is a good alternate when playing on a house shot, like most of us mortals.

I know I'm 2 years late to the game, but where do hybrids fit into the grit category? I have a Perfect Mindset that came at 3k grit and just travels straight down the lane. Tried 4k and it only changed where I stand. Tried 2k and it felt chuggy but no performance increase.

I joke with people that I need to bowl like am old man ... I am 65... I only have so many shots in me and if I don't knock them down on the first shot I have to waste energy on a second!

Nothing humbles a bowler of 37 yrs than bowling a sport pattern for the first time (on 5/9/24). Shot 692 after four; so I'll take that as a "decent" start...

I bowled on the 2024 usbc masters pattern and that one hell of a way to start bowling again in like 2 months I used my pyramid pathogen for the start and then used my iq ruby and I have bowled a high 189 182 179 I played 12 games in total I mostly bowled 150 160s sometimes 140. Since I haven't bowled in a while my spare shooting was waaaaay off barely could hit the 10 pin I tried hitting the middle arrow but I just keeps missing the arrow and it goes in the gutter I still had a great time I actually enjoy bowling more bowling on sport feels more rewarding getting strikes.😊

I was a two finger bowler before, it was very hard to control and manipulate on how I want my ball to react, I was not a double handed either. Maybe adding a thumb hole to yours will be great for you.

I gotta hate when they approve Strings. I get that it saves Bowling Centers but here’s the thing, most places had Strings are for entertainment and not for the sport. Those places wanted to stay open just for more profit and not helping the sport. Not only that, other countries can run Bowling Centers with Free Fall Pinsetters much better than the US does and my home country Philippines is an example of that. Just like our shopping malls here, Bowling Centers aren’t declining and there are centers recently opened and still running free falls.
