CLAREMONT CA - Early Sunday Morning, September 27, 2020 California Highway Patrol received multiple 911 calls of a two car traffic collision with one vehicle facing the wrong way in lanes eastbound 10 freeway at Indian Hill Boulevard. A white Scion with a female inside the car can be seen facing the wrong way with several vehicles missing it. Two vehicle eventually was hit twice by passing motorist. California Highway Patrol arrived on scene with a traffic break and at that time two bystanders that were on the right shoulder ran to the vehicle and were able to get the female out of her car.

Yup in a situation like this all drivers should slow down and since it’s dark then everyone had to put hazard lights on just to alert people in the back to slow down. That’s why America it’s fucked at this point. Our great grandparents used to be so smart. Now people have no common sense. my only defense is that the car is just over a hill. And once you crest the hill, you see a ton of flashing lights and stopped cars on the shoulder, causing you to look that way and become oblivious to the car stopped right in the middle of the freeway.

I was at an exact same accident. car in middle. we had slowed all traffic down and routing to side lane, 200 feet of road flares, when 3 cars ignored all that, came around the line at speed, nearly ran over two guys with signaling flashlights. and then slammed into the wreck. didn't have anyone hurt till then. For the people who dont notice, there is a small hill before the car! This means people driving up to it can only see the top of the car until they get over the hill. To the left it is higher than the car, this means others with a small car totally cannot see it until they get over the hill at 70MPH.

I had to drive the I5 in Washington through Seattle from Whidbey Island and you have to keep up with traffic. It was nervewracking. I never saw an accident like this one.

Reminds me of the accident i passed by yesterday. A pickup truck was upside down on the highway and and van that was totaled. Then, not even a mile farther another wreck, not as bad, but still not very cheap

Most of times I think people in Los Angleas when it comes to a car crashed in the middle of the freeway I think they know there’s a vehicle stalled in one lane they just don’t bother to pay attention and ends up slamming into it.

Police on scene with lights flashing, cars with their hazard lights on, after the Caravan smashed into the Scion tC the headlights are facing the oncoming traffic (which looks like a wrong way driver from a distance) - and STILL people are speeding at 80+ MPH down the freeway and/or are barely able to avoid causing more accidents. 🤦‍♂ All of theses speeding manics licenses should be permanently revoked or if they are unlicensed they should be banned from purchasing any kind of vehicle. They're less of a public safety threat on the bus or in the back of an Uber.
