Cracks me seeing all those in yellow vest hovering around a pile of trash, taking pictures and making notes like it’s an archaeological find of some kind. What a crazy place.

The fact that lunatics are roaming the streets, illegal drugs are used freely and in the open and our veterans are unhoused are just a few of the many societal ills plaguing this place and our country.

America is a corporate work site and a corporation. It's so boring and unsettling and just not a fun place. I use to think a place like LA was to be the ultimate dream, but one has to be asleep to believe an American dream for it's a nightmare. There's not a single good employer nor any culture and community that makes good smart sense.

I live in San Francisco. I noticed the addicts dogs here get no or maybe a little loving attention from their owners or the owners "friends". The moment someone reaches out to pet them with a soft voice they become so happy and alive. They seem to wander away but are very faithful to their owner and will no doubt return no matter what.

He looked pretty happy to me. Warm weather and probably well fed by people. The dogs that need rescuing are the ones chained up in someones backyard all day. Once I even saw someone keep their dog in a small cage in the garage 24/7.

I disagree. Venice has help and food for the animals of the homeless. Food. Vaccines. And a clinic. Not all homeless are drug addicts. Or abuse there animals. That dog is more cared for than many humans.

One can party and get high, but one has to pay for a room or property to do that. It's not right to see a meth pipe in public, told to F off, and then feel unsafe with thieves eyeing you. I guess celebrities and executives treat life as one big cocaine and meth party, but they have money and properties to privately live their lives.

@BH19780 There are law-abiding citizens with jobs struggling to feed themselves and their kids, and would probably love to have a dog, but don't because they are responsible and know they can't afford to take care of one. But they have to pay a ridiculous amount of taxes in California so a homeless person can have a dog. Your argument is ridiculous.

Why don’t they put all these people through the system build more jails if you have to put them on probation whatever if they break probation put them in jail. They’re spending billions of dollars on them living on the streets why not spend that money putting them in prison. If they can’t ticket them for being homeless, then they can ticket them for doing other stuff, and when they don’t pay the fines, put them in jail.

You cannot allow these people to have one whole week to haul all that garbage out there, You need to do this every single day or your just going to keep running into The insane coming out there and making themselves a/at home. These transient palaces aren't popping up overnight. They've had a week for them to grow and grow and grow. This needs to be nipped in the bud everyday! Somebody needs to be watching , when they start hauling all that "garbage" out there, this didn't pop up overnight.

This is America. The conflicts and social disorder may appear to be about work and political oriented arguments, but are pure born out of failed economics for the divisions and wealth gaps are becoming too dramatic. There's no affordable rooms nor housing in this entire country. It's so weird. I was going to take a trip this week seeing flights are almost free, but rooms are outrageously expensive everywhere. Too cold to car camp and then I no longer feel safe to even go to a rural camping area or stay out fishing all night. I know I need a one way flight and new country, but there isn't another country except one could just be a tourist all the time if no need to work nor need income. We need an actual efficiently working free market economic system instead of the globalized corporate monopoly. Tech companies are awesome and we need them, but we need an actual free market small business economy and affordable housing too. No solution will ever be offered despite vast resources in the world's richest country and world empire for it's based on war, debt, slavery, and financial speculation.

For them to offer services and food There is nothing wrong with the person to ask questions about the services I am appalled for the filipino man who works with the trash clean up who takes pictures To mumble under his breath beggars can’t be choosy! What a horrible thing to say! When homelessness can happen to anyone! He needs to be working in a different job and not judge others because he is not providing a service for people in need! His job really isn’t needed!
