I believe you can use something like a folding portable bonfire pit because its an enclosed fire burning structure. I just started looking into these a few months ago but haven't got around to checking into them in terms of park codes but parks and states vary. They are great for tailgating and camping as you can fit multiple attachments for different styles of cooking as well as being easy to clean and while folding up into a bag and storing flat in your car. I do however have folding titanium wood-stoves that I know I can use in fire restricted areas.

HAHAHA! When Link was talking about the Forest Service guy jumping out of his car about the fire, all I could think was "You're our kids, and we're your folks"...and Firey...and the hairless hamster ("Man, shoot!")...it was like a real-life Forest Patrol episode!

As someone who has gone camping hundreds of times in the last four decades I can confirm that vomit is something you just have to deal with when kids are around. They either get sick from not cleaning their hands or utensils or overeat when mommy isn't around to tell them to stop. They also tend to be more active that a lot of kids are nowadays and that doesn't help. A cough potato hiking ten miles is a recipe for sore muscles and a stomach ache.

I've had two experiences similar to this one. The first was when my friend ate an undercooked burger. He made it out of the tent to throw up... but managed to get most of it in my shoes. The other was at summer camp when I caught some form of the flu, being with the same person I mentioned previously, and I told him I felt sick, because I can hold in throw up for a good minute or two before it spills. He thought I was joking, until I threw up... Diarrhea came later, and I ended up sleeping by the campfire on the ground so that my friend could get more restful sleep. Had to leave camp early :/ You're welcome for the story
@SurrealLumberJack10 жыл бұрын
Haha I can relate to the fire ban. Almost every summer here in Kamloops BC Canada, because we live in a semi desert, there is a fire ban. And it really sucks because we can never have a fire haha

One time while I was camping my cousin stayed over in my tent and she peed in her sleep. We didn't have any clean clothes for her and I didn't want to wake my parents so I had to wrap her in a towel... that was still damp from my shower. Turns out it was the first time she had ever peed her pants. Glad she chose to do it at 4 in the morning when I had absolutely no way to deal with it.

I went camping once with my aunt and uncle. They actually hated camping, but I didn't know at the time. So we lent them a small tent, and we did normally camping things. We go to bed, and in the morning, the tents gone. Turns out it was halfway across the campground, because they were getting eatin alive by masqutoes, and left in the middle of the night. They tried to take the tent down, failed, (pulling up about half the stakes) and left it there anyway.

this issue about trying to prevent forrest fires is that the forests naturally burn every year. thats how its been for millions of years. stopping the fires causes more fuel to build up. the best thing to do would be design buildings to be resistant to forest fires. perhaps even section off forests into large grids and burn it all down systematicly.

boethius61 It's true, I'm from N.C. as well, and that's what literally everyone calls it here. I tried searching for a toboggan on Amazon, and quickly realized, I wasn't going to find what I was looking for lmao I had to to search Knit Cap, and I gotta say, it felt really odd calling it that. For instance, no one here would walk up to you and say, "Hey, that's an awesome looking knit cap you have on" Its a toboggan in the south.
