One belonged to him and the other to the Sasquatch. This will give you chills This legend involves a man who checked into a hotel for a few nights. After he obtained his room key, the woman at the front desk warned him that there was a door with no number on the way to his room. She explained that the locked room was used for storage, and she also warned him not to go into the room, or even look inside. The man, although intrigued, went straight to his room without asking any more questions. But by the second night, his curiosity had got the better of him. He tried turning the door knob, but found it to be locked, just as the woman had claimed. Not to be deterred so easily, the man proceeded to peep through the keyhole. Beyond the door was what looked like a normal hotel room, exactly like his own. However, in the corner stood a very pale woman with her head resting against the wall opposite the door. Confused, the man returned to his room.On the third day, the man decided to look through the keyhole once more. This time, all he saw was the color red-nothing else, just a constant, deep shade of red. Maybe the woman had suspected that someone was spying on her and had blocked it with something. The man decided that he would ask the woman at the front desk. She sighed and asked if the man had looked through the keyhole. After he confirmed that he had, the woman proceeded to tell him the whole story. Many years ago, she said, a man had murdered his wife in that very room, and her ghost now haunts it. Her ghost is said to be very pale, except for her eyes, which are bloodshot red.

Ya know, I've been watching you guys for a while now and never commented up till now (clearly!) because I felt no need. When Rhett started talking about watching an Eagle ceremony, I felt like I should comment that I've actually just earned my Eagle Scout even though this will probably get buried. Just thought that was a pretty cool coincidence because my Eagle court of honor (proper name for the ceremony) isn't set up yet. This isn't really a scary story, but it's one that made me laugh so hard at the time! Over the summer my family and I stayed in a small cottage in Wales. Me and my brother had to share a room. One night I woke up and looked over to my brother to see his legs were standing upright in his sleep. Just completely up right. I called out his name, when he suddenly jolted away and screamed "AHH! WATCH THE TRAFFIC CONES". When I started laughing, he sat up, looked me dead in the eyes and said "Shut up" before falling back asleep again. creepiest thing my daughter said to me... last year, i was sitting in living room an hour after i put her to sleep. i was drinking a glass of wine, i seen her walk into the living room, as if she wasn't sleeping. She looked at me and said..."Wine eh? i used to drink that when i was alive before"...then she walked back into her room to go back to sleep. Suffice to say, i didn't finish that glass of wine. Also, one of my favorite creepypastas, The Portraits: There was a hunter in the woods, who, after a long day hunting, was in the middle of an immense forest. It was getting dark, and having lost his bearings, he decided to head in one direction until he was clear of the increasingly oppressive foliage. After what seemed like hours, he came across a cabin in a small clearing. Realizing how dark it had grown, he decided to see if he could stay there for the night. He approached, and found the door ajar. Nobody was inside. The hunter flopped down on the single bed, deciding to explain himself to the owner in the morning. As he looked around the inside of the cabin, he was surprised to see the walls adorned by several portraits, all painted in incredible detail. Without exception, they appeared to be staring down at him, their features twisted into looks of hatred and malice. Staring back, he grew increasingly uncomfortable. Making a concerted effort to ignore the many hateful faces, he turned to face the wall, and exhausted, he fell into a restless sleep. The next morning, the hunter awoke-he turned, blinking in unexpected sunlight. Looking up, he discovered that the cabin had no portraits, only windows.

SilverExorcist I find that the more "realistic" a scary story is the easier it gives me the chills. For instance when moving out for the first time, the first week you might have mild hallucinations that you're not alone (if you live alone that is) that someone was calling your name, imagining that you saw someone standing in the door way.

I agree with Rhett. Sometimes I randomly start crying alongside getting chills, with no reason at all for me to cry. Totally happy and the thing that gave me chills can be thinking about a part in a cool orchestra song I saw live the week before, and sometimes chills and tears will come for no reason.

I was in a paddle boat with my four year old sister, she was three then, she looked at me and said "Who's that girl below the water" this was a non swimming lake because of how shallow and kinda dirty it was, it was just for paddle and row boating, so i told her it was just her reflection, she then said "but then why is it breathing" we then proceeded to get off the lake

True story! About two years ago when my boyfriend moved in with me and my daughter, my daughter woke me up crying and screaming about how she had a nightmare about a big dragon with a crippled wing that attacked her in her bed. A couple nights go by and she has the same dream. A week or so later my boyfriend and I are in the living room unpacking some more of his stuff and he pulls out a red dragon statue he got from his aunt. It's wing has been broken off during the move. I remember back on my 3 year old's nightmares, and go in her room and ask her, "What color was the dragon in your dream?" Without hesitation she says, "Red"... Needless to say, that hunk o junk went dumpster diving. And I recently found out that his aunt used to practice witchcraft. My daughter has never had the dream again since.
