I always thought it'd be cool to get powers like time travel, teleportation and superspeed, but as much as I'd enjoy using it for my own selfish reasons, great power really does come with great responsibility and just the thought that I could save so many people with them makes me reluctant to have those powers because I don't trust myself to be able to use them for the greater good.

What teo describes in the superpower section of "killing himself" is actually something explored by a show on Netflix called "The guardiens of justice" where a (spoilers) superhero kills himself because every time he tries resting he knows people will die because of it and it end up with him shooting himself with his sort of "cryptonite" bullet, just to end the suffering he has to withstand every time he closes his eyes.
