I almost loved the photo at 16:10 but couldn't get my eyes away from the ugly fense to the left. Was such a pleasure when the scene at 18:30 came to be - wonderfully composed and truly heroing the atmosphere CineStill brings to life. This was my favourite shot from the roll.

Makes sense. My praktica mtl5b can’t do shutter speeds under 1/15s accurately. Dried lubricants seem to be a common theme on these old cameras.

You might want to check your cable release. Mine has a little ring on it that you are supposed to twist to keep it locked in for long exposures. It always gets twisted just enough to make the cable stick.

If that's the Konica 50mm 1.7, I'm literally cleaning the aperture blades on one of them now. Seems to get oil into the blades and gets gummed up shooting anything other than wide open. They're super easy to open and clean though.

Hi. I really enjoyed this one! I feel like we have similar taste when it comes to choosing a location for a photoshoot. A unique, quiet area with lots of subjects to choose from, but seldom does it involve people. I mostly do zoom photography and as I was watching, I saw a few photos that I think would've had a very different feel to them if they were cropped in. Maybe you can do another one of these shoots with a zoom lens? Although it'll be pretty difficult to do in the dark haha. Cheers!

Great video as always. Oh my goodness it is SO frustrating when I go to take a 3-4 second nighttime exposure (in bulb mode) and when I go to release the shutter, the shutter cable is stuck open! Then I’m frantically unscrewing it from my camera, just to end up with a 10 second exposure, it’s infuriating lol! I know that most shutter release cables have that dial under the base of the “button” that by design I think, if accidentally bumped into the wrong position will stay stuck open. Now I ALWAYS make sure the cable is going in and out and operating smoothly BEFORE I screw it into my camera🤣

How do you measure the light here to shoot in night? do you aim your light meter into the lights? or the dark ? or in between?
@teocrawford2 жыл бұрын
Basically in between. I measure the shadows and highlights for them to be balanced, I don’t try to lean too far into one direction. However in scenes like this I might even tend to expose more for the highlights because having dark shadows in a night shot is pretty natural🤔

Love your vids so much, it can’t get any better I think. Keep it up! I have a question tho, in night time photography is it better if I pumped up the aperture to the widest and optimize the shutter, or increase the shutter to 2-3 seconds and optimizing the aperture to that? Thanks in advance ❤️

Next time your shutter acts up just gently replace the lens cap before you give it a poke.this should save your exposure from coming out shaky if done carefully.

Seeing you use it is actually rather inspiring, also helps me get an idea of what the results will look like :) I also wanted to say you inspired me to recently get into film photography and gave me a new hobby to keep myself occupied with, thank you Teo! ONE more thing, do you have any connnections to a music artist known as Oneheart?
