I'm enjoying these bridge sketches very much. I'm especially attentive to how you simplify, in this case, leaving out the metal railing in the foreground which would have blocked the scene. I tend to not think enough about what to keep and what to eliminate and end up with too much stuff, so this type of demo is very helpful. Thank you!

Interesting lesson on Singapore. I've never been there; and, most likely will not ever be able to go there. I did read a book once called Crazy Rich Asians. It was based in Singapore and was made into a movie. I haven't seen the movie, yet.

Thank you for another wonderful video Teoh. Was curious about the other colors in your palette. I spied Quinacridone Gold? Is that right? And I'm guessing Pthalo Blue and Sap Green would also as I know they're among your favorites. But curious about the others. Also, WHAT A GREAT IDEA to paint the bridges. Makes me want to paint the bridges of my city!

hey Teoh, is there a reason you're not using watercolor pencil for your initial sketch instead of the regular pencil? I use that little trick to skip erasing after adding ink, and since I use a neutral color it completely disappears after adding the wash.
@teohyc5 жыл бұрын
That's a good idea. Maybe I will try that

Hi Teoh, you mentioned your tutorials - do you go slow in those and give lots of instruction? Thanks
@teohyc5 жыл бұрын
Those are almost realtime tutorials, so they are quite long. Usually around 20 minutes for drawing, another 20 minutes for painting. Usually longer.
