My biggest issue when I played mystic was getting people to pick up the healing orbs! They'd get mad at me because they were low on health, and there'd be 20 health orbs surrounding them... smh

Wacope Omg yesssss. I even make my greeting skill to this day saying like this, "pick up balls when you need, red = hp blue = mp" no matter if they're veteran players 😂 The worst experience for me playing as mystic so far when I started to play Tera 3 years ago. It was my first time dungeon and I didnt know how to chat in team chat that time. Suddenly, everyone stopped and some walked to me. By the time I finally checked the team chat, answering to them about why I was too slow in healing (they didnt bother to avoid boss damage and I was getting aggro from mobs so I died a lot at there) and I was trying to tell them about the motes, they all left the pt lol

Wacope i know how u feel most ppl got use to of focus heal both priest and mystic have them. So what i do is i use focus heal and drop HP ball on the ground but if u are going to focus heal ur better off playing a priest

@@rhyannaaustin7200 Yes mystic is really a good heal class especially when the party doesn't have enough dps, mystic could compensate it with the thralls + their buffs to the party. The only thing I wish priest could be as awesome as mystic's is the evade skill. Mystic has 2 but priest has 1. The other evade skill of priest is only making us jump away to other place but not evading the damage though we it well. It really irritated me when I did AA dungeons lol. Dps kept moving when they got the blue laser instead of just solely do the iframing so when they moved most of the times it'd be facing to my direction. Cool there's Kaia to help me but when it's in cd, maaaaan xD On mystic, if the evade skills are cd, just pop either hp thrall or the shield thrall My priest is only on +0 SC gears so yeah the hp pool isn't that many. However, I stopped playing Tera since April iirc so I'm so left behind now with many new updates

@@rhyannaaustin7200 True! It was a nightmare when I started to use mystic. Gotta move fingers fast to spam the buttons for healing/buffs. Like in trhm I memorized the mechanics that I could use skill right at the moment the boss did the animation. But it was still a chaos when dps didn't do mechanic and ran away taking all the dmg instead of sharing hahaha Anyway, I started play Tera back in 2015 until this April. I just got tired and bored of doing the dungeons and grinding gears. I do miss my friends and the guilds though I'm still in the guild discord xD I main priest because the skills were just straight forward and fast healing but since the update of last year and with the apex, mystic really got buff up. Its healing potency is so much more than priest's because of the crit too. Nowadays the mmorpg that I'm mostly playing is FFXIV

Huh this might be actually a MMO whee I can really just relax too- without needing to worry about PVP mechanics to a PvE style game. Like most MMO's suffer from. I'll have to give this a look at on the PS4 and give it a shot- though after seeing all these classes and races. Going be hard of what I want to play...that and since I am somewhat sick. This game might help me keep my mind off of it and kill some time lol.

The amount of misinformation in this video is beyond me. 1:25 Different race not only matters in pvp but also pve. Castanics has extra crit, Amans have damage reduction, Elins have better animation for certain classes. All of these matters and can influence your gameplay heavily in pve. 4:23 important to note that crowd controls don't work on bosses, unless it is a specific mechanic where you are required to cc the boss. 4:51 yes most people prefer lancer as a tank, but people should not be encouraged to play lancer because it is considered as a better tank than brawler. Lancer takes a lot of experience, learning boss animations and the exact timing is crucial. Whereas brawler is easier for beginner and higher individual dps. Also, aoe damage from lancer? No. 5:59 berserker is not the "main" dps, it simply is one of the dps. Also important to know that nobody plays a beserker to tank. 6:14 Why would you get a beserker to tank when you have a lancer in party? 7:09 no reaper is not known for its mobility, as warriors and ninjas are far more mobile. A reaper's rotation requires them hop in and out very often, they're labeled as "mid range". Reaper's self heal is not reliable. Whipsaw should not be used as a heal and the reaper passive has a long cd and is situational. 7:40 Dealing the most amount of damage at the right time? No. Every dps should be actively doing damage throughout the fight at all times if possible. Again, crowd controls don't work on bosses. 8:10 No. Cc don't work on bosses. Even during certain mechanics where you have to cc the boss, every capable class should attempt to, not like everyone is gonna blame the slayer if mechanic failed. For example in HH at aquadrax, when he summons tornado, every class with a stun should throw it onto him, it's everybody's job, not only the slayer's. 9:50 no ninjas can't stun the boss for the party to free dps. Cc don't work on bosses. 10:06 all the cc (poison slow stun traps) again don't work on bosses! It's also not the archer's job to group enemies together. 10:45 the robots and turrets from a gunner is a very minor thing, not worthy to be called a highlight of this class as they really don't do much. No gunners are not a support class. 11:15 Dot on a sorc? Hello? 11:45 Hot in general is not worth mentioning. Not only it is not as effective as instant heals, because people can die before receiving full healing effects, but also priest generally should not rely on HoT. 11:57 mystics can also revive people by the way. Heals are more bursty than priest. And no a mystic is far better in experienced parties than a priest as they do offensive support (crit 2.2x aura and contagion versus kaia shield from priest). 12:27 priest are more noob friendly years ago, they dumbed down mystic. 13:11 this is actually true, skills in this game gets you very far, but don't pretend like the classes are balanced because they are absolutely not.

I'm confused people want mystic or priests....I like to play supportive roles or glass cannon stealth figures (ninja not on ps4 yet so I want to play support).

In your opinion what's the best class right now....I have a level 65 warrior I used about a year ago...but the last time I played other classes like valkrie seemed OP

Some things to know: The main difference in races, is their animations. The same class can feel very different depending on the race. For tanks, brawler has a low skill floor making it easy to play and do decent damage with, however it lacks in boosting the rest of the parties dps. Lancer's dps isn't as good as brawler but they give a huge boost to dps making them favorable to any other tank. Warrior tank is very difficult to play but they can do damage equal to brawler with enough practice, they also grant attack speed the rest of the party. Berserker isn't a tank. Yes they have an ability to gain aggro, but they give no benefits to the party, they also don't have an enrage skill making them useless. For dps, pick what is fun to you, every class can do good damage if played well. Archer is the easiest class to learn and do decent damage with at the moment, where warrior is the most difficult. Right now mystic is much better than priest. Priest is easier to learn, but mystic gives better buffs than priest and is actually easier to carry with if you are skilled. Also, you can't stun any end-game bosses, so for anyone reading this i wouldn't pick a class based on it's CC unless you want to pvp.

Im looking at playing either reaper ninja slayer or warrior dps. Can you give some insight on the pros an cons of each?(dps output, utility, gameplay speed/engaugement) I tend to like class that use skills/attacks in rapid sucession(Animation canceling if it's possible in this game) and little to no downtime. Preferrably mobile enough to dodge things.

Ugh, the gender lock thing is really off putting to me. At least if they had male exclusive classes too it would be less gross. Not everyone plays these games to make a pervy "waifu" character and it's kinda sad this is still a thing. Even just from a roleplaying standpoint, why would you lock something like brawler, behind gender? I could get something based on a gender specific myth/source like Valkyrie, Succubus, Priestess, but most have a male counterpart you could easily include. I don't like that. Be mad if you want to but it's 2018 and this not a good look.

Jjextreme Playz It's unnecessarily gross, like why not make males too? It's like the problem of games where the only female outfits are hella slutty and the only male outfits are huge, ugly and beastly, but on steroids. I get straight guys are the core audience but not every straight guy wants to roleplay a hooker or WWE wrestler, and girls and gays might wanna make a male hooker or a female that actually looks like a fighter, hell even straight guys, maybe he wants to make a male thirst trap to roleplay as, why are we still doing this in 2018. Is it so difficult to just make both genders hookers? At least then it's not sad and gross for no reason.

And remember this is not like WoW where you lock on a target and all your spells follow them, TERA plays somewhat like an FPS (especially for ranged classes), you are constantly moving and trying to hit your enemies. So size definitely matters (pun totally intended)

Was the main reason I stopped playing, why the hell do they lock these classes to female only is beyond me but it's frustrating me to no end, like what the fu** did they think when they locked Brawler to female only??? Brawler sounds like a class only a male could play but no, it's female only, at this point *all* the new classes are locked to female only, it's beyond BS and for me, it turned Tera from a fun game to a horrible and trashy game, I really hope Enmasse will fix it but I highly doubt it at this point.

A lot of people, including me, love to play female characters in a game. Why, for instance, do you play a mmorpg? To care about playing male of female? Imagine a popori being a valkyrie, Just think about it. What's the problem in them being females? It's truly amazing and perfect at this point.

The mystic is the most op class in the game when it comes to questing and leveling. Pet was awesome at holding agro and it wasn't hard to keep alive.

Personally, I use a Castanic slayer because Smelting and Crits are amazing for slayers. You can clean house instantly and also confuse *MINI BOSSES* as well as interrupting them.

Since i play PVE this is mostly about PVE not PVP Races For DPS Castanic has 1% more crit chance when attacking from behind, and Elins have a little bit shorter animations for most classes. Tanks Brawler: You have a rage bar that you can keep full by hitting the enemy, you have a skill called growing fury that consumest that bar, but adds frontal block to your dps skills, so basically you can dps the boss while blocking almost every hit. Brawler has less buffs but more dmg than a lancer. Lancer: Attacks slow ? Bullshit your main dps skill hitts 3 or 4 times when you use it and you can spam that skill a lot so wtf do you mean attacks slow ??? 50-60 hit per mins during a fight with this skill only is fucking slow ?? lol. But yeah Lancer is the number one tank. You give a lot of usefull buffs to your team and you can still deal a lot of with lancer, not as much as a brawler but still good dmg. Berserker: Not a tank forget about it. Warrior: You can tank with it, if you want to get fucked in the ass. Its not as good as a brawler or lancer but at least its 5 times harder to play so, you are better off playing lancer. DPS Since you didnt say shit about warrior and berserker as a dps im ganna say it. Berserker: Slowly charged attacks, but they hit really hard, if you want to see big numbers play this class. At max level when you pop all your buffs you actually charge your skills up to max dmg really fast. Warrior: Warriors have an Edge system. Basically most of your skills give you 1 or 2 edges, you can have 10 edged max. You have a skill called Scythe, that consumes all of your edges and deal dmg based on how many edges you consumed. Your main goal as a dps warrior the get 10 edges as soon as you can and spam scythe with max stacks since scythe deal most of your dmg. Reaper: Reaper can heal itself ?? Okay i didnt play every class in game but as i know Warriors Lancers Slayers Berserkers (Priest mystic ofc) Gunners and valkyres can heal themself as well soo whats your point ? CC doesnt really count in PVE and Warrior is way much mobile than a reaper. Yeah DPS CLASSES ARE FOCUSING ON DEALING THE HIGHEST AMOUNT OF DMG LOL. Slayer: U CAN NOT COUNTER ATTACK BOSS NOR INTERUPT THEM. I mean you said there are very few slayer that can do it so maybe i just didnt see any lol. I have to say yes in low lvl dungeons you can knock down bosses but in high level dungeons you cant CC bosses only if there is a certain mechanic that you have to stun a boss, otherwise no you cant. Valkyrie: Yeah valkyrie is that one op class thats the definiton of insane, i mean it was but they nerfed it so it not as op as it used to be when they released it. Yeah Valkyre is pretty easy to use and you deal a lot of dmg with it so I would say if you want something easy to learn the game start with Valkyrie. Ninja: Yeah u have to combo with Ninja, since i didnt play ninja at all I cant tell you how to play it but every class deals most of its dmg trough crits since if you are doing it right your crits deal like 6-8 times more dmg than non crits. thats why you have to get a certain amount of crit factor depending on your class. Archer: Slows traps

Even though valk is op, in PvP they can still be stomped on, it all depends on the skill you have with your class. I always say just pick the class you enjoy playing the most. And if you're one of those people who choose valk bc it feels like you're doing tons of dmg...you can do that on other classes too, it just takes a little more work

"Fuck the Mystic" lol, no. Nobody says that unless it's a Priest that has been kicked from content for the 99999999th time and is salty as fuck. Class elitism defines Tera endgame and even midgame sometimes and no-one given a choice will ever choose a Priest over a Mystic and most groups will spend hours if necessary kicking Priests until they get a Mystic. Priest is currently the most unwanted class in PvE content, nearly every LFG post for support will ask for a Mystic and outright tell Priests to not bother. So Priests pretty much have to live in PvP or get a dedicated Guild static to run with for PvE. I'll take a Priest no problem but I'm also a rare nice person.

@Chris Leffen They are also played by some of the biggest ERPers too. Just be careful of a place called lumbertown in the late hours at night. Unless you want to be RP trapped and have "things" done to you by a horde of Elins. Especially if your a Male high elf. Also don't bring up Elin honey......that is a rabbit hole best unexplored.

There are other good classes that I like, and other classes that would be fun to play. But the brawler class is just me. Dps and a tank? Love the combination. I love to pummel and destroy when it comes to classes.

Can one character have access to any class as long as they meet the race/gender requirements? Or do I need to have multiple characters per class? If I do have to have multiple characters, then does that mean I have to level up and play through the games story separately for each character? Is the progress I make on one character separate from another?

In terms of needs. Tanks have ALWAYS been in high demand simply becuz you do even less than button pressing then a healer. But your situational awareness is just as high as a healer and cc'r. Played rpgs for some 20yrs - tanks are a must have that can never be found. - you wanna be in the big fight?, roll tank.

I don't really like how some classes have to be specific to gender/race. With the valkyrae only being female it makes sense because thats what they actually are but for the reaper/ninja where you can only play as a little girl... it tics me off.

This class review video has a lot of misinformation but I understand that this is based on personal reference and skills in game. My additional inputs about the classes About tanking: Lancer is indeed the best tank but warrior exceeds in single target tanking (aka bosses, especially high end game ones) due to a single target aggro spamming skill and dodging, i-frame abilities (and warrior can also block like lancer but they can dodge around a lot which lancer can't do). Warrior is not good at tanking mobs or crowd control. Berserker (or Zerk) is considered a sub-tank (aka secondary tank), when there are more than 1 boss or a lot of adds to tank but most people don't do this, warrior and brawler are much better at this. Zerk is one of the best burst dps classes in the game, top zerk players are very likely to steal aggro from tank with every single charged attack. Brawler is good at tanking, crowd control like lancer but less survivable but does more damage in return. About DPS, sorc and zerk are considered the best burst ones, followed by gunner. All other dps classes are kinda more sustainable dps which they can do a lot of damage with good combos. In my opinion, archer dps is the lowest one but debuffs and aoe control make up for it. About healers, this is the most misinformation comes. With 7 years of playing Tera, I would say fuck the priest, get the mystic. Priest could give the party several buffs and excels in instant healing/ cleansing (group or single target). If you are trying to beat a dungeon/ boss and not kind of 1 shot kill run, priest is the choice. Mystic is a little bit inferior to priest about the two mentioned above but mystic can drop hp orbs which anyone can pick it up anytime to heal and cleanse themselves. You don't have to run around and wait for heal. Mystic can drop off orbs on the floor before boss fight that can give you an edge, plus mystic can constantly drop orbs and heal during fights. Mystic has two party aura, one of them is double the party crit rate, this is why most end game players prefer mystic (myself too). The fight is so much quicker bc dps could do much more damage

I'm really looking forward to this game =) .....On Neverwinter I play the rogue and i love it, so in Tera I'll probably would go Reaper or Ninja but the Slayer sound more of a challenge. I leveled both my `Priest` and `Mystic` to level 65 in TERA NA (tera.enmasse.com) (Callestial hills server). My opinion, Priest and Mystic has their own speciality. But if player say party-demanding, the answers would be Priest, because priest has so many healing skills, and can heal party member rapidly. For the Mystic, the only good things about mystic is, mystic has an `Aura` skills, while this skills actived, you party member has attack power more than 20%. In harder 10-player-dungeon, party member should has Priest and Mystic in their party, because Priest gives Defense buff, while Mystic can increasing attack power. The questions is, can you play Mystic as better like you play Priest in support? The answer is yes !! you still can play better as support/healer even you play as Mystic. But you need to know..., playing as Mystic is harder than playing as Priest.

Mystic is by far the hardest class to play. I won't say learn because you can't, Mystic you either get or you don't and you are either a Good Mystic (basically a God) or a Garbage Mystic, there is no in-between. That's why in the history of Tera there have been less than a few dozen good Mystics and why it's sad that Priest gets the shit it does. People truly believe that a garbage Mystic is hundreds of times better than any Priest. It's not true only because a garbage Mystic is a train wreck to watch but people will still believe it. The only place anyone will willingly take a Priest over a Mystic in PUGs is K-Tera.

I remember back there in 2013, while i see Mystic class in TERA NA, in that time.. Mystic class is very rare people to play, because that class is very hard to play. There is 3 class in TERA which is very hard to play in that time, which is beginer player should avoid to choose those classes, there was ; Lancer, Warrior, and Mystic. But i realize that, when in 2014 when i leveled my Mystic (aslong with my gunner class), which is Mystic class was very different way to play compared into Priest, for example.. Cleaning abnormal status, in Priest you have an AOE cyrcle to clean all abnormal status for party member, so.. when priest perform this skills, aslong party member in this cyrcle range, party member abnormal status will be gone. But different with Mystic, while performing this skills you need to lock each of one party member first (if i`m not wrong, at least you need to lock 3 party member), after its locked, then you can perform this skills. As you can see, some of Mystic skills you need to perform harder, rather than Priest is more easy way to perform. So, compared both Priest and Mystic, both of support class has their own speciality in the way of game-play, by meaning.. Priest doesn`t have certain skills which is only Mystic have, and otherwise for Mystic. For example.. Mystic can toss Blue and Red crystall-ball to the ground, this crystall-ball will remain there in quite long time in the ground, if party member pick this Red-Crystall-Ball its will recover HP, and if picked the Blue-Crystall-Ball its will recover MP, The unique is, Mystic class can toss these crystal-balls as much as they want in the ground, and for the record, Mystic can toss this massive-crystal-balls before party member engage some of bosses as preparation, for precaution if party member need it in battle. Mystic has some unique buff that can give `auto ressurection` for party member, if certain party member receive this buff, and they`re died, they can revieve it in the spot aslong that buff was actived. While priest doesn`t have some sort of this skills. as far that i know, Mystic is the only class that can recover party member MP regenaration rapidly, if you have a Mystic class in your party? you almost have unlimited MP, There is 2 Mystic ability which is regenerates MP significantly, first is from `Aura`, when Mystic actived this Aura, MP party member will regenerates so fast, while certain class which is using high amount of massive MP to perform blocking skills like Brawler, this Aura from Mystic would help tank class to perform tanking more better. Overal, while Mystic focusing performing support role as increasing party member attacking performance, and for Priest is more focusing on regerates HP and defense. So, both of Priest and Mystic they`re was build to complement each other, if you was entering 10-player-dungeon, it would be best have Priest and Mystic in your party.
