MrStoned93 I really enjoy the lancer class (2nd class I made, had sorcerer first). Timing the shield (I am level 30, so don't blame me if it is different at higher levels) isn't that hard, when you see the monster charge an attack, just block. Don't be afraid to use your shield often when you first fight a monster, until you learn his attack animations.

there are some stretches of levels where it gets pretty bad, but the upside is you can get dungeon groups instantly and just grind those instead, which gives a ton of xp

I know you posted the guides to specific dungeons but I would really like to know rules of thumb or rotations that you use. @kroenne I plan on leveling a lancer to cap to gear myself and guildies, then reroll a slayer for PvP. Lancers are decent, but not as competitive as other classes. They take on the roll of locking down and peeling, which is difficult to be any good at when you hit level cap because of how mobile everyone will be, not to mention how much more damage everyone will do compared to you.

there are certain level ranges that are just tougher than others. I'd suggest checking your crystals, making sure you've got good glyphs for soloing and good gear for your level, then just stock up on bandages. you could also try just leveling through instance matching, lancers get instant queues and they give decent XP if you dislike soloing.

How does resolve (RE) fit in this video? I suppose it wasn't being used back then. My lancer is L16 and, unlike zerks, I can't simply block all day, if you know what I mean. A great skill review and a nice voice! :-)

You can also remove cast time from Spring Attack by using Shield Bash before.

I feel I should mention this but If you want a tank, choose the biggest race like Baraka or Amani. I have had complaints from healers that my Tank Elin is very hard to target during battle because its so small, its difficult to find during the heat of battle.

slayers are much more straight forward, they just do damage, your goal is to get in there and kill, with using stuns to peel/dodging attacks. Lancers are a bit more utility and positioning, less about just damage. No doubt just stabbing people is usually more fun so I'd say slayer, but it depends on your preference and playstyle.

There's more abbilities now like Wallop, which is a high damage ability. I chained it so that shield bash is followed by a debilitating blow and finally a Wallop. It's especially good when you time it with your berzerker friend's thunderstrike.

I would say to try each of them out with the tutorial. This class may seem boring to others but it can be fun for you and vice versa.

forgive me if im wrong but you forgot to mention that the different races ( human, Elin, etc all have a special attack, I have one of those big guys ( forgot their name) and he is a lancer and got an attack that lets him jump up in the air and then salm down with the shield doing dmg and like a stun on oponents.

Seems like they got their inspiration for Lancer from Monster Hunter as I noticed some similarities. Lance was one of my favorite weapons in MH, so I think I'll start off as a Lancer in Tera.

I have a question. When every I get knocked down and get back up I will have lost aggro and complete control of the battle. At this time my healers are being chased by mobs, so I shout but to no avail I can't get the aggro back. They are within my range of the aoe shout and I see the symbol sign pop up on top, what am I doing wrong?

k-tera is tera in Korea :p since it was originally released in Korea, they usually get new updates/etc etc before anyone else in the world.

for solo grinding, any class can pull it off. Believe it or not though, I think priests have the easiest time soloing. Almost all of the korean tera bots are priests because they can kill fast and self heal. Any class can grind or farm really well though. I honestly can only tell you to try them all out and play whichever fits best with your playstyle, all of the classes play very differently.

What class is easier to learn and to play, fun, good in solo pve/pvp/dungeon/bam and group as well? Doubting between lancer, sorc and slayer: Lancer I'm afraid that I never know block when in solo pve (normal mobs) and bad at aiming my lunge skills, sorc I'm scared I get stuck after running around like a chicken without head and using skills aswell and slayer that I can't dodge or die fast..And which one is more forgiving aswell? Mystic Priest and Lancer actually. They get banned from the 1v1 tournaments but as a lancer I can tell you that you can see the really good lancers in mass PvP where positioning is key more so for healers and lancer than for any other class.

OH god Domeran, help mee ;D I just can't choose what class to play, i like both melee and range, like archers but ive read they get weak dps later game. the melee takes dmg much because the fight from near distance. On BC archers seem to be the least played. Slayers, lancers, Priests/mystics those classes were in pretty much every group I was in during Obt from levels 1-32 only grouped with one sorcerer which honestly suprised me.

There's nothing wrong with being an elin lancer, if they're having problems healing a slightly smaller target then they just need more practice. If you like the elin and you want to play as a lancer there's nothing wrong with that. I play as an Elin Lancer and I've never heard anyone complain about my hit box being too small. And I've never had problems healing them on my priest/mystic.

Change some runes out for the MP regen perhaps if you're really having that big of a problem with your MP running low. You shouldn't have to spam your abilities just to hold aggro, taunt and a few combo's here and there should suffice. You aren't out to do damage, just keep the mobs attention.

Could someone help me out? Unlike most lancers I struggle with trash mobs more than boss fights. When I have 2+ mobs on me it's difficult to avoid damage, keep threat, and keep a good pool of mana. I try keeping threat by using my skills + counter attack but after awhile that drains my mana like crazy. I try to use combo attack to regain mana but take crazy damage from the 2+ mobs so I go to block. When I run out of RE I'm forced to combo atk then I'm low on health again. Any tips?

You can dps with a priest, is it high dps? No. But its dmg nonetheless. Lancer damage is bursty in nature, and with cooldown reduction it is almost consistent. However, equal gear and assuming common sense, the other actually dps classes do the job much better.

Only use it when you combo into it, using it by itself is a waste of time as it has a long wind up time and it could easily be filled by something else.

archer is dps and lancer is tank so it depns on what u want if u want to give dameg go for archer . if u want tank go for lancer :D
