Tera - RMHM Lancer 2nd Boss

A guild run we did recently. I made some mistakes but was surprised at the dps parse I pulled. Highest I have ever done in any attempt in Tera. With full 10 stacks, strong bravery, new noctenium and double hurricane from party, what a big difference. I also realized the last 30-40 seconds or so my noctenium ran out!

Hi feazes, returning player here. Finally coming back to tera NA this week. My role in my party would be to be the main tank. Im from Malaysia so my ping is kinda bad. i get maybe 200+ ping. Ive read that its a little inconvinient to control a lancer with such ping. Would you say thats true? or should i consider maybe going brawler? Its been awhile since i played. Hopefully you could help me out here. Thanks in advance

Hi, Yeah sad to really say that around 200+ ping it's very hard to play lancer. Some lancers are able to play under 100-150 ping but anything over 150 can be very difficult. Blocking depends on ping and also higher the ping, the harder it is to chain skills after one another. I don't play Brawler much but from what I read and seen, it is more friendly under higher ping. Yes I'd recommend it. I know one or two people who play under 150-200 ping avg and do decent.

Thank you for the advise. I'll probably try out brawler then. Ur from NA too? or from tera eu? I really like ur videos. Really inspiring. Also if i were still wanting to try out lancer. What would be the reccomended race for you?

Yes I am from NA. If you go with lancer, good races are elin and male elf. Elin has fastest skating animation and male elf have fastest shield barrage. Usually in PVE any race is fine but in PVP race may matter. I play as a amani female, love the extra damage reduction under 30 percent HP. I used to play elin long ago but stayed as amani, rare to see that race as lancer. And thanks, hopefully they are helpful.

HI. My setup is full +15 behemoth, Tier 4 etchings (energetic on weap/gloves), refined manorbourne/estate accessory. Weapon using focused, double pounding and wrathful. Rolls on weapon: enraged (top), enraged, 7.2 cd, 6 percent dmg & 8.7 aggro dmg.

Hey so currently im having guile chest and boots what wil be the difference if i get behemoth +15 chest and boots?

I have behemoth wep and gloves but i feel my dps is lower cuz i have to play defensively

Hi, well I can say for sure when upgrading from guile to ambush/behemoth, it's a big difference. Extra stat line, can block more, and face tank more hits. An example: when I was +15 starfall chest, rmhm last boss hit me like 50-60k hp through block on 3rd hit before swipe during unenraged. With ambush or behemoth, you can easily block it most times and not take any hit through block (I think you need bravery + priest endurance buff). During enraged I can fully tank boss's 3rd hit even if I have debuff and no damage through block; unenraged I may take anywhere from 2k-15k hp. With guile chest, it's not possible to fully block that hit, plus guile only has 3 stat lines where vm chest such as ambush or behemoth has 4 stat lines. Getting both behemoth chest/boots will boost your overall defense as well, makes blocking more damage and safe face-tanking easier.

Np. A lot if it depends on many factors. One being the skills: being able to chain off one another, which helps animate/cast the skills faster. Like if want to use spring attack, it's best to use shield barrage, shield counter or debilitate before it so this way spring attack is activated fast. Also it depends on gear and etchings (such as energetic - this gives speed). A mystic in party gives +6 attack speed and priest's energy stars gives a speed boost also. Buffs such as lamb (+3 speed), bravery potion (+4 or +6 speed) also help with speed. Also in game ping is very dependent: the better ping, the better play.

u using power crit setup? does it run well with all bosses?

Yes, I run a 3 crit/2power setup (3pc manor + 2pc estate): +202 crit rate unbuffed (jewelry, innerwear, superior circlet, guild buffs). In party With mystic + 10 stacks + lamb food, I usually average around ~45-50 percent crit rate. Also depends how fast the fight is. Crit rate can be very variant at times though. Most bosses I've faced, I can say I've had decent consistency. There are times I feel some days I don't crit enough and other days I crit a lot. I also feel building too much crit rate is not worth as much because front of boss has a lot of crit resist. So my mentality is to build enough crit rate and then focus on power. Regarding full crit (2pc blubred + 3 pc manor), I sometimes use this but not always but for some reason I feel more comfortable with the 3 crit/2power setup and I do more dps with it. I see a lot of lancers use the full crit setup, which is usually the main meta. However, this setup may lack imo if the party dps is very bad especially in a solo mystic run for example. I've seen instances where my 3 crit/2pow setup works better. But anyway this is from what I have experienced. May not be same for others, could depend on play style as well. Hope that helps.
