Very cool demo. Is this bit blitting the vdp fb to the vga fb?

Not that sophisticated sadly, the two FB's are totally independent. Setting one of the TeraDrive registers determines which graphics chip gets to use the RGB output. So I'm just writing to both at once, then pressing buttons on the controller fiddles with that register :)

Goddamn this is cool! How is Sonic being drawn to the screen? Is the TeraDrive rendering him using its sprites (32x32, etc) and then shooting the framebuffer to the PC?

Yep, MegaDrive VDP drawing the sprite and info screen, everything else is VGA at work!
