How do you like the teraflex ball joints? Do you recommend them?

I had a little wheel wobble between 45 and 52 MPH, I installed these babies at home. They completely fixed that little wobble I had, I can feel my steering got tighter. Thanks Teraflex

Another sweet product. Thanks for the video. I can’t help but notice that brake cable and abs line on the jeep in the video are rubbing the tire bad. May be time for some teraflex brake line holders ;-)

Just had these installed on my 2014 JKU with D30 and 35" tires. Night and day difference between them and the stock ball joints. Add to the fact that I should never have to purchase another set, buying these was a no brainer.

I spent most of my day going thru reviews, forums, KZbin, trying to compare the synergy adjustable ball joints, vs these teraflex adjustables. I ended up buying the Teraflex, my stock ball joints are wore slap out , where it has the little shake about 40-45 mph , can't wait to get these in , I'm doin c gussets at same time

i replaced ball joints once with g2 knurled ones. my next ball joint replacement will be taraflex can use smooth ones
@teraflexsuspensions3 жыл бұрын
You will need to go with a knurled set. Once you cut into the inner C you can't go back to smooth unfortunately.
@poke7778903 ай бұрын
After owning these for over a year my opinion is. They are built heavy duty for sure. But you have to tighten them often. Because they are adjustable it’s either too tight or too loose. You will have to tighten them often a huge inconvenience and it may throw off your wheel alignment. The adjustment screws are hard to get to as seen in the video they are small that may strip. If it strips you will need to replace the whole joint. It’s a beef up joint with an easy to damage flaw. if you damage the screw threads, you won’t be able to lock it. my advice is don’t go with an adjustable one.

I have all new ball joints and tie rod end on my 95 cherokee and now I have wear on the inner tread, is this due to a bad ball joint?WIll this adjustable one help?
@teraflexsuspensions5 жыл бұрын
Sounds like a camber issue. Unfortunately these Ball joints do NOT adjust camber. Only preload on the lower joint.

Haha, those 10mm get lost far too easily. Note on the adjuster, it's a 32mm hex so any 32mm flat wrench or similar will work.

I have my set! I was thoroughly impressed with the thought that went into it! One question, would it have hurt to flip the joint around in preparation for RCV in the future? I installed it as recommended, but couldn’t help but wonder
@mattcraig91543 жыл бұрын
You will have to do some grinding but it can be done. I put mine in for rcv and running stock axels still waiting on rcvaxel. So I hand to grind some metal of the ujoint area.

Looking for advice. The local off road shop said I need adjustable camber / caster ball joints for my Jeep Wrangler. Will these work or are there other parts I will need to correct the problem? The Jeep pulls to the right driving at 1 o'clock. Funny thing is I have to pull the steering wheel left to 12 o'clock. Thanks.
@jamescole68465 жыл бұрын
I am in the same position right now with my 2013 JK. did you ever get an answer because I was looking at going with the Teraflex joints but I was also told I need ones that would adjust for camber. What I was told was that on the Dana 30 after they get old the C-coupler that holds the u-joints starts to sag a little producing negative camber. The adjustable ball joints correct this. But to me this sound like a bandaid to a larger problem.
@hectorlopez72235 жыл бұрын
@@jamescole6846 Same here my local shop said I need a balljoint adjustable for camber. I have 48,000 miles on my JK with 35" nitro sleeve and C reinforce. Never abused of my dana 30. The think is I can't find a Heavy duty balljoint to correct camber. I do not know how much time is gonna last the MOOG K7403 with heavy tires. There is another OEM balljoint part number 2351023540. But I would like to install something heavy duty.

So what did any of you guys end up doing?
@teraflexsuspensions4 жыл бұрын
@@truckerrickakamanowar Hopefully they figured something out. Unfortunately our HD ball joint do NOT adjust for any sort of Camber. Only the preload on the lower ball joint.

I got these not too long ago, but I'm having a hard time finding a ball joint press with parts that fit the lower joint. Does it matter if it's pressed in with the adapter pushing on the tapered part of the lower ball joint?
@DesignInteraktiv6 жыл бұрын
Did you manage to find the right tool? I'm having the same problem and I think I've damaged one of the set screws on the lower ball joint because my tool pressed against the tapered section also.
@NateDogg72826 жыл бұрын
I purchased this K-Tool set and it appears to have the correct cups and all in 1 kit. I have not installed my joints at this moment but am waiting for a free weekend, but the cups fit the ball joints. Not a bad price either for what you get. www.summitracing.com/oh/parts/kti-71556/overview/
