I haven’t used them... but do think they are an upgrade to the stock stops... I hear dv8 hydro stops are actually good... U can find those for $250-300 for a pair...
@Mickale-Moranis4 жыл бұрын
I had similar thoughts on the removal of the bump stop for whatever reason...would another hose clamp or some type of tube clamp be better around the tube housing? Still would require some kind of push down to get the housing out of the crushed tube. Too bad, Teraflex didn't think about using an o-ring of sorts at the bottom for the tube (keep it centered within the tube) with a screw on top mount (also with o-ring to keep housing centered in tube) on their housing to secure the bump stop from coming out.
@JLLIFEOFFROAD4 жыл бұрын
I do think they could have done better with tht design. But we will see how they last. Upon further research... Iv discovered why this is zero maintenance... it’s filled with a spring and a foam stop. If it last forever. Or revuildable from being in place. I be ok with it. These are more entry level bump stops ... biggest advantage. No up keep like oil/ gas filled ones.

Would love some suggestions
@ricktaylor42344 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the grammar Siri doesn’t want to put down the correct words.I meant loosen and spring
@mistyjllo1834 жыл бұрын
Rick Taylor correct, the control arms were not loosened. The Jeep was jacked up and put on jack stands first to allow more droop from the axle.
@JLLIFEOFFROAD4 жыл бұрын
So rick.. depending on the control arms u have... if u have stock arms... the bushings font fully rotate.. they will bind up during flex... drooping the axle is considered ‘flexing’ in this circumstance... mistys control arms... as well as mine ....durometer means the will fully rotate with our binding the bushing... If u have stock arms... I’d suggest just loosening the control arms and the track bar to allow free movement in the bushings... once u get it ready to tighten... drop the jeep to the ground first... then torque down... I hope all tht makes sense... if it don’t... lemme know.. I can put together a quick bonus video explaining what I’m tryna do in text? Lol I really wouldn’t kind
@gener28732 жыл бұрын
I’m getting ready to install this kit on my JL rubicon with the 3.6 e-torque and noticed I have a aux pump located above my drivers side down stop tube that interferes with the speed bump clamp. Did you have the same pump on this build?

Yea... have those.. assuming u didn’t watch the video where we tell people NOT to do 37s on a d30/35. We made clear to everyone... u gonna break... we also have every intention doing a full axle swap. And bump stops are pretty important... maybe not fancy ones... but not worrying about bump stops is gonna lead to other expensive breaks that ain’t the axle. The only reason we decided to run 37s on this build... was to show people how they will hold. 🤷♂️ Hope we gain u as a sub.

The top part... It’s adjustable during install... by those two spacers.. tht part of the design is the main reason I don’t want them in mine.... At 9:08 it looks like the spring is rubbing against the frame, and the contact points of the speed bumps and bump stops are so crooked. Is this normal to have everything bunching up so strange? It’s like a weird spring bow and so much binding and rubbing. Are they all like this?
@JLLIFEOFFROAD4 жыл бұрын
I think tht has to do with the shorter axles tht come with the non-rubicon models... her axle is centered.. Mine doesn’t make contact like that (rubicon). But the wider pucks make tht contact space much better...
