Top Rank really had bud in their stable and could not even promote and market him to save their lives. And PBC tried to screw him over too taking long to make the fight he had to call Errol himself. That Eminem story really made me smile. I’m so happy for Bud. I remember watching the Gamboa fight and thinking “this guy is going to be a superstar”. Took a while but the world has finally seen Bud. I feel sad about him being blackballed all these years. Deprived boxing fans from some really epic showdowns. At least he got to paint his magnum opus. There are principles that are common to all styles of pugilism. Some of them can only be applied by those at the highest levels of their art. In other words, real recognize real.
