You need to watch the second knock down in the Crawford vs Porter fight, Porter could not move initially, it wasn’t as bad as when Charlo clipped Lupin but just the same that hit temporarily paralyzed Porter for a few seconds. Porter’s dad recognized it that’s why he threw in the towel.
@Wes03
@Wes03 Жыл бұрын
Styles make fights and Crawford breaks you down not only physically but MOST importantly he breaks you down mentally. Porter wasn't broken mentally vs Spence. Poter was in the fight all 12 rounds vs Spence. It was close due to styles and Spence not having the skills to prevent Porter from fighting the fight he (Porter) wanted. Thus, it was close. On the flip side- Like Floyd Mayweather Jr, Crawford breaks guys down mentally with skill. Some people just like physical dominance. However, boxing is most importantly a mental game and Crawford breaks you down mentally and eventually physically puts you out by either KO/TKO. Again, some people hold more weight towards fighters who are physically dominate and, in this fight, I'd say that is Spence. But skills pay the bills and Crawford brings not only more skills to the table but just brings MORE everything to the table. And when/if this becomes a dog fight, I'm most defiently picking the junk yard dog in Crawford. Side note: Spence has had 2 fights in the last 4 years. 2 of his last 4 fights were vs guys who didn't even fight at 147 (Mickey and Danny Garcia). Crawford switches it up between orthodox and southpaw which will possibly lead to a clash of heads. There is also a probability that we could see Spence's eye re-injured either by punch or clash of heads. Spence has also shown concern with his mouthguard and teeth and more specifically, his teeth being knocked out, which was a distraction in the Ugas fight. Dont expect Crawford to let up if Spence is hurt, let alone distracted. Crawford is one of, if not THE best finisher in boxing today. If Spence is distracted or hurt, Crawford will take full advantage of it.

Crawford is the one that will have to make more adjustments in this fight, and that’s why I think it favors Spence more. I’d say 55/45 in Spence’s favor. Spence is a responsible pressure style fighter who throws punches in bunches, and isn’t usually shy on the trigger. He’s deceptively defensive while offensive, because he can box, and control distance insanely well. Crawford will have to make the adjustments on taking over the control of the distance (ring generalship) AND he will also have to try to take over on being first on the punch. He’ll be out of his comfort zone since Spence usually throws a lot, takes the initiative a lot in being first. Crawford in his last couple fights appeared also to be losing until his power punches unexpectedly hurt his opponents. I don’t know if he’ll have that this time, as Spence is just very fundamentally sound. Until we see the adjustments Crawford makes, it’s Spence’s fight to win. Now although I favor Spence 55/45 to win because of his come forward pressure and him breaking down his opp, I can see Crawford, countering all night, once he finds the timing, rhythm, and pattern of Spence. Crawford has the ability to hurt and stun his opp, and ultimately finish. I just wonder if he’ll be able to match the pace of Spence, and his first to punch initiative.. and if he can match it, he has a good chance.. 45%.

The issue is crawford is a counter fighter. Spence will try to walk him down but you can’t do that with a counter fighter. Spence will have to adjust after he realizes he can’t walk this guy down.
@AcidBreakz
@AcidBreakz 10 ай бұрын
@@kingrukki Yeah that is true. Similar to how it was easier for Marquez against Pacquiao, he was a counter puncher and all he had to do is find the right timing to react and counter. Spence has the ability to counter the counter as he’s being aggressive though. People underestimate Spence’s “responsible” aggression. But for sure, Crawford can figure out the timing, and once he does, if he can also match the punch output of Spence…he’ll have a good chance of shocking Spence. Can’t wait for this fight, as it draws closer..instead of 55/45 in favor of Spence, by fight night it may just be 50/50 for me. 🤷‍♂️

In my humble opinion, though I love both fighters, Crawford has a clear edge skill-wise. Though everyone so far has been overwhelmed by Spence's brutal style, he is predictable and will allow Bud to see the matrix fairly early. I see Errol adapting to the Conventional stance and possibly finding some success or even hiring bud, dropping him….MAYBE!!!! Then Errol has to figure out how to get inside when Bud switches to Southpaw…Errol ain’t gone know what to look for or from where, over and under!!!! Errol ain’t gone be able to deal with the different footwork patterns, In and out, In and off to the side, ducking, half stepping n turning, forcing Errol into something nasty! Also, if Bud hurts Errol, it’s gonna be a TKO, no doubt I’m my mind! Buds bringing more in his Tool Chest and training at altitude like its gonna be a 15 round bout!!!! If Spence can bully Bud to the ropes and frame and pin Bud, he can do some damage (highly unlikely) CAVEAT…CRAWFORD WILL HAVE TO TKO OR KO SPENCE TO WIN or bust him up real bad, close, nick and tuck fight is going to Errol, simple as that! Spence makes way too many fundamental mistakes and have been off balance on several occasions after throwing and missing shots. The bode well for Bud’s multi-angle counter attacks off of baits, traps, and timing. I also believe the lack of activity for Spence will also play into the fore-mentioned mistakes which we seen against Ugas in the first 4rds. Bud will not give you a chance to make mistakes and get comfortable to settle in. My problem with Spence is he out wills his opponents and eventually breaks them down. What if he runs into someone with the same will or more? What is plan B? Once Tyson realized Buster Douglas wasn’t folding to his fear and power Tyson looked helpless in there because he didn’t have anything else to rely on. Bud has shown a multitude of ways of winning fights.

It wasn’t ruled a knocked down and they were too tied up to legitimately score it a knock down, people want so badly for Crawford to have been knocked down that they are going to confidently score it a knock down “because they know better than the ref” and try to let that be the narrative.. sad.

I seen that so called knockdown in slow motion… his knee did buckle but I also saw him try to step forward and his foot did a skip so it was more of a trip then mean machine hitting him… his twist and tryna break away more so made Crawford lunge forward when he was only holding on and tryna take a step forward

It never fells to amaze me how Spence fans claim he fought a better version of Brook and Porter. Brook had his face shattered by GGG 8 months before facing Spence. Let's pretend you are a fighter, would you be at your peak and even prefer to face a killer 8 months after having your face broken, eye surgery, draining down 2 weight classes, going though a physical training camp, OR would you rather be years removed from the KO loss and surgeries then facing a killer coming off 3 wins and a camp which you claim is your physical best? There is NO COMPARISON who fought the better version of Brook. Also, all you Spence fans do is speculate about Porter because he said he had a good camp and he looked perfectly fine in the fight. We all knew he was going to get knocked out. That was even the pick in Vegas with the odds makers. Just stop making excuses and diminishing Crawford's win to hype up Spence. I did like bother fighters, but Spence fans are so annoying that I will take Crawford for the KO win inside of 9. We all know he has the skills to do it.

Here's the thing.. whenever I hear "Spence Fan" like i was hearing "Haney Fan" the likelyhood is you're a fan of the othehr fighter, considering you want Bud to KO Spence. Brook was clearly drained in his interviews leading to the Bud fight. He'd fractured both Orbital bones by that point. Do you really think he's going to go into it saying "he's past his prime"? Prime Brook wouldn't have got rocked by a short jab, Porter's spoken about this too extensively. Again.. I said I prefer Spence, but am I a Spence Fan? Or are you a Crawford Fan?

I believe you misspoke in reference to Kell Brook going through a dreadful weight cut to fight Crawford. It was the other way around. You're right 😉✊🏽 I got them mixed up, the image of Brook appearing dishevelled in a Crawford interview made me think it was that fight. He did have two orbital bone fractures vs Crawford though, and Bud stated it before the fight suggesting he had his target locked. I know some disagree, but the inside right jab landed by Crawford.. Brooks durability just seemed off. Porter alluded to this too, however I have no proof.. So I could be wrong.

When he fought Spence he hallways still champion at 147 and arguably a top 2 welterweight at the time and yes he went up to 160 for one fight to fight triple G but he didn’t fight Spence till 9 months later so he had plenty of time to drop that weight and eye to heal so yes Spence fought the much better Brook

I feel your emotions towards Spence are informing your opinions. Spence doesn't roll like a champion outside the ring. He is more concerned with having fun. His life style forces him to drain himself in every training camp. And he is at the age where that will catch up to him. Crawford, on the other hand, is serious about his legacy. He is always in the gym and never out of shape. His work ethic is that of Floyd Mayweather. He doesn't hang out with gang members and rappers like Errol does. (Or has. He was being chased by gang members when he got into that accident.) That's the true "inside" story. Crawford has been so sick of Errol and the PBC dodging him for so long that he is going to take it out on Spence. To the point that Errol won't even want a rematch after Bud sparks him in the 10th or 11th round. And if that happens, he is going to want Jermell Charlo straight away. I give Spence a punchers chance, but....I don't think he is emotionally or mentally strong enough to deal with what is coming to him.

It’s amazing how people that break down Crawford’s fights to analyze how he’ll do against Spence, always manage to look past his most recent fight against Avanesyan and go back 2, 3 or 4 years to evaluate his CURRENT abilities. Why is that? It seems like his last fight gives everyone the best information to gauge Crawford’s current abilities. If you use that fight you’ll notice that Crawford got hit a lot against the C level Avanesyan. Also keep in mind, Crawford fought Porter 2 years after Spence and Brook 3 years after Spence; my point being Brook and Porter were a shell of themselves when they fought Crawford…. Porter retired and Brook’s only fight after Crawford was against a washed up Khan 1 year ago. Spence clearly fought both Porter and Brook when they were closer to their primes… Crawford fought them after they were clearly out of their primes. I know you picked Spence to edge Crawford but I think it’s going to be just as Spence described it, “a 1-sided ass whopping.”

He's the best in the business i've taken away His opponent's best weapons. To me the only way spence wins is if he's able to smother crawford to the point that crawford can't think and react. And although spence is great at what he does I don't think he will be able to smother him to that point for 12 rounds. Crawford is too good fighting while he's backing up. His ability to come in the pocket at slight angles while throwing hooks are going to pull him ahead in this fight, leaving Spence with the dilemma of either protecting the body or head unless he get Crawford’s timing down and counter him but I just don’t see Spence doing that to him while Crawford is still in his prime with his superior athleticism in getting in and out of the pocket quickly. It's easier to avoid getting K'od when facing a pressure fighter because your subconsciously learning their patterns at a rapid pace, despite getting obliterated. It's harder to avoid getting K'od when your opponent is counter punching and setting traps.. However it doesn't always pan out.

Great Breakdown. Very Technical. I feel like with Spence, he needs to be more defensively responsible in this figjt. Spence tends to over reach on shots and that leaves him open for counter shots. Also I noticed when Spence throws his right hand body shots, he leaves his left hand down wich opens him up for counter right hand. In regards to Crawford, I noticed he gets hit with shots more often than before. At times when he is figuring out the opponent, he tends to get hit with jabs and right hands because he leaves his head up and in line when he throws his shots. Also when Crawford gets hit with a good shot he tends to want to go toe to toe because he wants some get back. Its a very interesting fight so I lean towards Spence due to his relentless pressure, great chin and he fought better opponents than Crawford. At this point in both of there careers Spence has had at least 3 grind out Legacy fights and has fought all champions while they were in there prime. Spence by late round stoppage.

I totally disagree with your assessment. To keep this comment short I will basically say from a trainer's perspective ring IQ ring generalship and the footwork to beat Spence. Spence's a one-dimensional fighter. Terence Crawford has multiple tools that will defeat Earl Spence Adapting to the opponents style Footwork Trapping Guard Changing Angles Body Attack. Changing speed of punches Throwing punches in bunches when necessary. And Terence Crawford has a 2" each reach advantage on SPENCE CRAWFORD by 10rnd TKO🥊

I guess the point I'm making with your first comment, is you positioned yourself as a boxing trainer and stated you "totally disagree" with my points, but then proceeded to list off common "talking points" and boxing terminology, without much context. You later referred to me as a youtube content creator. The definition of "an Appeal to authority" fallacy. "body attacks, speed of punches.." etc.. would apply to Errol Spence too no? "Adapting to style" this is sprinkled all over my comment section, but again a talking point with no nuance applied. I'd argue has Crawford fought anyone with the pressure, speed, accuracy, and relentless attacks to the body as Spence to justify the notion he'll adapt with absolute ease? Porter had a terrible game plan lunging into counters, Crawford targeted Brooks broken orbital bones.. Etc. I stated how both men can win, in layman's terms.. Spence via pressure, Crawford via counters and that I'm simply leaning towards Spence. However If its a Crawford blow out.. Then let me have it in the comments ✊🏽

@@ClaimerUncut I’m not a “boxers fan” I’m a boxing fan. What stands out most imo Is Crawfords age. He’s 35 but closer to 36. And EJ admittedly hasn’t been 100% about his health or boxing throughout his career and that might catch up with him also on fight night. Both are major red flags in my eyes EJ’s massive punch output favors Crawford counter punching ability. If Crawford can use his feet and maintain distance and separation. Or if he attacks EJ when EJ is on his back foot. Great night for Crawford EJ has maybe 3or4 punching sequences to close distance or attack opponents. If keeps the fight in a phone booth not allowing Crawford to see or dissect his movement / rhythm he will have the advantage. No one has been able to pressure Crawford but against Egidijus Kavaliauskas in close quarters he got clipped also the same sequence with Gamboa. they both set the distance, timed the punch then “pendulum stepped” into the punch that rocked Crawford. Idk if Spence has that punch in his arsenal though

I hear ya, but why would a fighter allude to not being at their best before a fight? The fight begins in the buildup. You have to look at it rationally. Kell was a champ defending his belt when he fought Spence. When he fought Bud.. His manager said he took it for the payday, plus Bud had two broken orbital bones to target, and that's exactly what he did.. Porter was semi retired, one foot in his podcast and the other an opportunity to achieve greatness. His performance speaks for itself, Throwing wildly in the later rounds and walking into traps was out of character. Either way.. Both Spence and Bud are undefeated, and it's hard to deny the possibility of numerous outcomes.

Untrue? OK.. Porter fought Spence in late 2019, fought Formella in 2020, then fought his final fight vs Crawford. How did you fornulate that he was semi retired vs Spence 2 years prior? send the quote. Porters dad states he didn't train how he was supposed to vs Crawford. Porter states he fought Spence at his best. It's in my 2nd last video Did you watch the fights Brook fought vs the (3 domestic opponents) before Crawford? He looked washed despite getting the wins against those subpar competition. Porter + answered this best stating Brook lost his punch resistance after fighting Spence. Many fighters have terrible weight cuts, we determine if it had an effect based on performance, Brook looked his former self in that fight, and again Brook was champ at the time, totally different mindset. Crawford put Brook down with a check hook. Brook didn't even attempt to clinch.
