He is smile ng upon all of us who have found his wisdom, worked on our spiritual growth, and helped to improve the quality of others collective journey. One fine day, we will all sit around and have infinite discussions of all the roles we've played and laugh at the conundrum of reality and consciousness...

I saw Terrence speak in Los Angeles a number of times and got to converse with him in a back alley to the venue after one of his talks at a Santa Monica bookstore. I asked him about how guilt derived from the cultural attitudes towards Mushrooms in the 90's might affect the psychadelic experience itself. He acknowledged that there are walls mentally but that the power of the experience is to melt those away, although It could very well be an issue with some. I was always amazed at the "straightness" of the audience, which was usually around 60 - 100 people in a bookstore.Terrence would often comment about this himself at talks. These were not a stew of burned out hippies, but more scholars, professors, and "normal" people.. My thanks go out to Roy Tuckman and his all night radio show on KPFK for helping to bring Terrence to the public eye in Los Angeles. Provacative times that affect me to this day.

He speaks to us more today then he ever thought imaginable.....i am so sad that all these people are passing away, and what we are left with is this world i live in today... Humans are so lost, and without these profound words and imagery we will lose ourselves even more and faster as time goes on. The masses of sheeple are just to strong and Terrance McKenna is one of the last humans to help tame them all.......i wish i could have met him...

It’s odd to miss someone that you never had the pleasure of actually knowing. I’ve spent more time with Terrence than some of my closest friends. I bet we could get his message into the mainstream media, and into the heads of housewives everywhere with the right sort of pitch.
@SporadicUploads13 жыл бұрын
The "mainstream media -> housewives" thing is kind of a rude stereotype that you should probably not mention again, it's not a pitch they would like. People are less open to new info from people who are being mean to them.
@brandonmosley21133 жыл бұрын
@@SporadicUploads1 I never claimed to have the right pitch. Forgive my shorthand. In most cases stereotypes are useful subdivisions. Of course they are a very granular way to parse subjects as complex as people. However, I’m certain that you immediately understood my sentiment. And isn’t that really the point? I would urge you to come to the tribe with the words that we should use in these cases.

This man was a truthful enigma. Sounds like a contradiction, but the most amazing people are like this. They work out the wonder and weirdness of life out loud for all to see. And Terence touched the Void. And brought back a bundle of hyperspatial objects that will take generations to absorb and comprehend. But people like this always look odd at the very beginning. But there is no other person quite like this. And nothing will ever be the same again. Love you, TM. 🧡
