My favorite thing about Whitney's singing was the unique pleasant tone her voice produced whenever she was belting. I can hear it in Teresa's "o" and "a". Wow with a liitle more work...goes to show that Whitney truly was a vocal genius. She exploited her talent to it's fullest potential. In all the interviews I watched after Whitney transitioned, Cissy always felt cold to me - like detached, so this sort of makes sense - that Teresa Graves is her mother. Who knows if we’ll ever know the truth… it’s not our business to know, but Whitney Houston is my favorite. I’ve loved her since I was about 5/6 when I first heard her music. I cried when she transitioned and sometimes I still do cry about her. Seeing Teresa Graves makes me cry now. I think this is her mother. And I don’t like to speculate or go down rabbit holes, but if this is true this humanizes Whitney even more. I’ll always love her. I never idolized her… I never will. She’s not a god to be worshipped. She was a human being and a gift to our world, and I don’t think she was cared for properly. Why is this so scary and fascinating to me! It makes so much sense though. If Whitney's father got Teresa pregnant she would have been 15 at the time and in those days they hid young pregnant girls away until they gave birth and let the child be raised by a family member or adoption.
