Re: the dolphin double-speed thing. Your pod isn't too long, your jokes aren't too slow. I think maybe it's people's attention spans getting shorter and shorter, with the introduction of things like tiktok. Also maybe people are listening to it on their commute to or from work and want to make sure they get it all in. I would gladly listen to 2 hours of you guys.

For me it's the ADHD brain. I didn't know this until after I was diagnosed because I thought it was just a personality quirk lol, but apparently people with ADHD do this a lot because our brains need to be constantly stimulated, and sometimes we process information better when it's faster. So for me when I'm watching at 2x speed, I'm actually more focused and picking up a lot more of it than when it's regular speed. I think it like grabs my brain since every second is filled with so much information which keeps me literally engaged, whereas in regular mode it's too much space in between to let my mind wander. I hope that makes sense😅

Kids used to play a game called Mother-Father-Child in my daycare and kindergarten, and I was the only one out of all of us who wanted to be the baby. I started listening to this at double speed for just the part about the dolphin sound and lost it because Kate immitating the dolphin sound was as much like a real dolphin sound as the laugh she did right afterward. Also, the dolphin imitation sounded way more like a dolphin at double speed. Hahaha your listeners know you! P.S. Kate is RIGHT about the teeth sand comment. As a lesbian, I find it easiest to just give into my natural inclination for simplicity and 1) not wear makeup and 2) every couple of months to just shave all my hair off. I'm bi and I got my husband literally because his (he's straight) girlfriend at the time cheated on him. We were friends but I was IN LOVE with him. Some might say it's pathetic but when they broke up I gave him two days to grieve and be mad and then literally threw myself at him. We were having a sharknado marathon and I just got naked and went for it 😂🙈 best move ever (I really struggle with subtlety 🙈😂) The one time I ever came close to cheating was when I was 17 I had a girlfriend and a guy friend who lived in another town. I wanted to visit him over the weekend and my girlfriend tried to FORBID me to do it. She was like "you know he is interested in you, you are nit allowed to go and spend the night at his house" Being a hard-headed stubborn little bitch I went just BECAUSE. I had to. We did what 17 y/olds do. We somehow acquired booze and hung out with his friendgroup at a bonfire getting drunk. At his house we drunkenly made out. Nothing more happened. Just teenage making out in underwear. But I felt SO GUILTY afterwards I learned that I could never actually cheat.
