They didn't need to frame anyone because the case had been closed already. They had the case reopened for justice to be done.

My thought exactly. Maybe guilt was getting the best of Allen Showery and he was about to confess to police. The Chuas are probably connected to this far more than they are admitting. Maybe they hired AS to kill her but left bread crumbs for police in case he decided to confess and implement them. Idk seems fishy.

Ill clarify this since whoever posted this did not do a good job . After mistrial the murderer took a plea deal 2 avoid 2nd trial . He served 6 years and was released in 1983.
