The practical skills they learned were directly applicable to building the State of Israel, so in that sense it was useful. You can build a nation where everyone is a trader or a middleman! Anyway the hard work paid off as we can see the ascendancy of Israel and the Jewish people today.
@Sad_Bumper_Sticker3 ай бұрын
Your comment makes zero sense. 6 million Jewish people were unalived. Very few survived Terezin which was a propaganda town where people were starved and later sent to death camps. Saying “Nice that the Nazi Guards enforced slave labor” is tone-deaf ignorant. Jewish Europeams already had multiple useful trades and skills before 1939. Many were in different Zionism youth groups and learned to farm years before 1939. Most survivors were starved from death camps, slave labor camps, death marches, or many years of hiding in darkness in semi-starvation and malnutrition. And 6 million Jewish people were unalived in WW2 by Germans. How is that “Look at the bright side the Germans taught them trades useful to build Izrael”. What a rude ignorant comment.

Why do you offer a foreign speaking doc in America without dubbing it in English? Subtitles are a big turn-off. Skip!

Such ignorance. Americans have limited attention spans and expect the rest of the world and the whole of history to be reduced to sound bites in a language they can understand. Perhaps one day they’ll realise that not everything nor everyone in the world is dumbed down to their level.

theirs a difference though, or do you think it would've been better if the allies hadn't done anything? I'm sure their would've been a lot less death in the long run, you do know what Hitler had planned for post war Europe if he'd "won"? Plus this was in the 40's,their were no pinpoint remote GPS guided bombs, it was much more personal, what other way was there? I mean unless you dont know much about the war or have been told wrong
