My husband LOVED this movie and could insert lines from it, for laughs, into any situation. Once I caught on, I did too, in fact when our child began to talk, some of his 1st words were from this film! Teri Garr was part of those happy memories.

She was perfect in this role, as she was in 'Mr. Mom', another comedy classic! She's also a top notch dramatic actress, as she showed in 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind'. Such a likeable and talented actress!

❤️Young Frankenstein is a great film in it's own right but the fact that it pays such a loving tribute to the Universal classics makes it even better. ❤️
@lettingthebearout75283 жыл бұрын
The movie was a real classic. I was a teen when it came out. I lost my brother that same year. This movie was one of the first times I really laughed out loud after that loss. I saw this movie twice in one week. All these years later, my kids, now past their teens, quote lines from the movie. And yes, Terri was an inspiration to a young man. Perhaps it was those knockers :)

Teri's been in so many wonderful films.. LET IT RIDE with Richard Dreyfuss - hardly ever mentioned but it's got this huge ensemble cast (at the race track) and Teri's relegated to phone-conversations and yet she is SOOO essential at every point in the film. TOOTSIE... A SIMPLE WISH... she pops up on TV in the last 20 years and, every time, she elevates that show. SHORT TIME (with Dabney Coleman believing he's got to die in the line of duty so his family - wife Teri - can be 'provided for'... ) Teri, there simply is not enough accolades for you.

Kid and I haven't on DVD and I watched occasionally. And it's a serious movie. But she's more comedy. I love during Tootsie.
