I'm struck at how real and humble and completely honest Teri Hatcher is in this interview. She's always been my favorite actress on Desperate Housewives and her range as an actress is incredible as Teri takes Susan from silly to dramatic in a blink of an eye as the scene requires
@theodorrand Жыл бұрын
I can fully agree with that. She has the ability to switch between funny and serious when necessary. She had professional acting training in the past at the beginning of her career and with the beginning of Lois & Clark. She never took off despite the success with Lois & Clark and after she became even more famous through Desperate Housewives, if you know what I mean.

As a kid, my room would be cold, I would throw the blanket over the top of my head, pretending I was a mountain lion, laying in the mouth of a cave, looking down over the valley below. I would fall asleep like that. It was great!!!! I still do this as a grown up!🤭🤭🤭🤭

A thoughtful interview. She's lovely. It makes me sad to know she was sexually molested at age 5. My mom & my sister were sexually molested to by family members. Both of them had much pain.

I am quite open to being disagreed with here … but she doesn’t strike me as a particularly nice person. Perhaps she didn’t actually want to be there but felt she should attend given the institution that invited her. Same ‘vibe’ as with Hugh Grant when he was interviewed there.
@theodorrand2 жыл бұрын
At the time this interview took place, Teri Hatcher was very busy. Desperate Housewives was very intense, also the press and gossip magazines were not always nice either. But I think Teri is and has always been friendly, especially during events like this. I mean I can't see her feeling out of place or closed off. She made her usual jokes here and tells very private things.

I read an interview she gave to a European interviewer very respected in her home country as a serious film critic. I rmbr quite clearly the interviewer saying that she seemed to enjoy pretending to be nice but was in fact quite mean spirited at her core. Someone who enjoys playing on this inner and exterior difference believing she’s fooling others. The interviewer compared her to Diana Ross or Sally Fields in personality type (she’d interviewed ppl internationally for 30+ years at that stage). I remember I was quite surprised and disappointed as I had found her v attractive on screen as a teen (Tango & Cash lol!!!).

@@jakebiomask bitch your literally believing rumors and talking about somebody you don’t know personally! Plenty of people said nice things about her! And even if she was mean or had attitude sometimes oh well she’s human and you’ll think your favorite celebrity all goodie two shoes when they probably did horrible thing in the past. Quit talking like you know her in real life you just heard things.
@kekamixi Жыл бұрын
I've always heard the opposite, the only thing that spread against her was the desperate rumors, and tat just by a few part of the cast, others sad that she was the most friendlly and nice to work with.. In conventions everyone say nice things about her and the way she treat the fans, or she is an actress 24h or its not exactly what some say. So people accept the truth they want, even whitout knowing her in person

How interesting it is, and mind boggling at the same time? How these stars are all telling us so much about the industry they are famous in, yet not telling us much at all. They all talk about tons of pain. Learning how to "survive" in these industries, and it being "traumatic" at first until they learn to evolve, and adjust to how it works. Funny how skeptical people laugh at the notion all these famous people are raped, molested, coaxed, drugged, under hypnosis, and forced into some pretty unnatural, evil, nefarious, and dark stuff to get to the levels that are finally at. Anyone can see that most of these stars are so out of it, drugged up on God only knows what, and appear to be under some types of hypnotism when they make talk show appearances, do interviews, and make public meet and greet appearances. I took tons of drama years back. That's not f***ing normal. I don't care how many skeptics say "It's just a microcosm of being in the industry!" It's. Not. Normal. These are traumatized individuals who are not happy. They are not overjoyed to be famous, and successful in their trades! How nobody sees that? It is mind-boggling to say the least. The amount of joy, and happiness that overcomes people who are successful in early stages of stage acting, and endeavors involving drama, plays, Broadway, and anything else? They are visibly emotional in a good way when they nail it. These people? Nope. They are mostly empty vessels. They are detached from humanity. They have been what the CIA coined "De-patterned." Similar to being lobotomized. It's crazy. Screw everything about being famous, and notorious. Greed, envy, lust, pride, malice, sloth, and wrath. All things that these individuals experience, practice, and are consumed by. Sad, but true. Stop idolizing these famous athletes, musicians, and actors. They don't deserve the adoration. Trust me.
@kekamixi8 ай бұрын
you contradicted yourself. The biggest issue is that people like you seems not to see them as human being once they become famous and rich. Most of them fought hard to be there and as you mentioned suffered a lot of humilliation. Being an actor, a singer and athletes or any career that brings you to popularity it's just a job, it's their work. A work where instead dealing with life threat like a chemistry for example deal with fame and public lives. It's a huge price but they know that, sadly not everyone can handle, some goes to that path for money and get lost but there are many many artists in the world and you judge all of them because a few popular ones have problems it's pathetic. Saying they are empty just shows how you are not treating them as individuals but doing what all cowards online and in the media do, seeing them as a product. If you could not reach that in this interview I'm so sorry for you, she is an example, she grew in this business alone, she started from the bottom without influences but had talent so she succeded, she handled a lot of public shit consequences of fame and still do till today but she knew and she say that it's the job since she is an intelligent and focus person she always handled very well during her life. It's a job, she needed to work and in the end of the day she went home like everyone else. You like a lot of people are here giving you general and empty opinion about everyone who is famous and have money. They do deserve a lot of admiration when they have talent, mostly because they have to handle people like you.
