PINNED COMMENT for CORRECTIONS: A viewer “alrui” corrected me regarding the Thermapen ONE. It is NOT rechargeable. It runs on a aaa better which lasts forever. In fact, I still haven’t had to change mine which is likely the reason for my misspeak. Thank you to alrui for the correction.

Excellent video Mike and very good instructions. That finished plate had me wishing I had some right in front of me. I just did a screen grab on the recipe in the description box. My wife and me will most certainly be doing this one soon. Thanks for sharing and thanks for the mention brother. Glad that tip helped your chicken game out. Cheers!

Hope you enjoy. It works well any way you cook it! Grilling is best cause the brown sugar will caramelize a bit.

Get yourself a cast iron skillet with the grill ridges, not quite a grill but the next best thing if you are in an apartment pr don't have access to a grill.

Thanks Mike! - We have a couple inches of snow and down to only ~10F tonight near Ottawa Canada. - The grills and griddles are "sleeping" but there's no reason not to bake this in the indoor oven, or the electric grill I sent you the photo of in the past. The recipe looks awesome. Love the shoutout to some of the other YT channels I watch. - Cheers!

Very nice Mike! It looks absolutely delicious. I don't eat white meat chicken so I don't worry about temperature there, but I do take my wings and thighs upwards of 190 200 and they always turn out so good. Great video brother 👍

Looks great and plan to try it. There’s a teriyaki place here in town that does some veggies with it too. Carrots, cabbage, etc.. Probably will be adding that. Stir fry the veggies with a bit of the sauce. Mmmmmm good!

Can you freeze unused marinade to use later?

Yes, as long as it hasn’t touched the uncooked chicken. It will always taste better fresh though.

Great Recipe Product was fantastic. I can't believe the word gas grill came up, I thought they were banished from the bbq channels. I have same grill, it gets very little use since buying my kettle, I actually think I can perfect my temperatures on kettle over gas grill. When you were cooking chicken did you have burners turned to medium. I can understand about smoke on some items, I'm not particularly into smoked turkey. I think it's OK right off the pit but to freeze and reheat not a favorite. Good to see someone using gas grill, be good incite to see what you can do on one other than sear steaks. Happy Thanksgiving

I've found that by adding 2 cups of honey and poking holes in the thighs with a fork before setting them in the marinade. muah. Let me just say a little tweak made this my go to dish everytime I'm going to have company. Everyone ask about "my" chicken and rice now.
@theniteowl92 жыл бұрын
The marinade sounds delicious! The chicken looks absolutely scrumptious! I swear I could almost smell it grilling. I’m a fan of white meat, so I think I would marinate some boneless chicken breast’s. (Don’t mean to undo your recipe🙃). Maybe even try a stir fry. I really just want to try your marinade!😋

Chicken looks fantastic! Do you baste the chicken during the cook with the leftover marinade? Or do you find that you don’t need to do that? My wife isn’t the biggest fan of teriyaki, but I think I’m gonna have to try and skip this one by her I bet she will love it! 😊
@EverydayBBQ2 жыл бұрын
It’s so flavorful you honestly don’t need to baste it. I have yet to meet a person who doesn’t love this recipe lol. Thank you for all your continued support, brother!

FYI, The Thermopen ONE isn't rechargeable takes a AAA battery & runs a long time (2K hours per the site) - I've not had to put a battery in mine yet and I've had it for a year or more at this point. Highly recommended folks!
@EverydayBBQ2 жыл бұрын
You are correct, alrui. Don’t know how I messed that up. I have had mine forever too and still have not changed the battery either lol. I’m going to correct this in the pinned comment and credit you for the correction. Thank you 🙏.
