I mean, Zelda is the wielder of the Triforce of Wisdom despite a severe lack of foresight. Ganondorf got the Triforce of Power and took over Hyrule because she didn't account for Link being too young and sealed for 7 years. Furthermore, she blew her cover while Ganondorf was watching at the Temple of Time once Link had awakened the 6 sages. While she tries to plan against Ganondorf, she consistently fails to account for how cunning and powerful he is. This incarnation of Link (in Something About OoT, not OoT itself) is afraid of everything but at least he's getting things done. Something About OoT Link is more courageous than vanilla OoT Zelda is wise.
